Welcome to the Corvetteforum Tonia from Arizona! I recently sold my 2014 Z51 convertible and never had an issue with it until the dealer did the airbag recall. Then the top would not go down completely. The dealer disconnected the battery for 5 or 10 minutes and then it worked. Does not sound like your problem as I guess yours is binding somewhere but in the meantime enjoy your Corvette. You will be better off going to another dealer, you can also file a complaint with GM customer service which may or may not help but at least its on record!

You guys are either slipping or accidentally improving your etiquette.

Mine did that twice, a few months ago. Exactly the same thing as you are describing. I recycled it a couple of times, and it was fine. Never able to duplicate the problem, but as others have suggested, it sounds like something is binding.
Hopefully your issue is resolved quickly, and welcome to the forum.

Tonia, have you noticed how the top breaks your sun visor? I've owned convertibles for 20 years, and never heard of the happening. There may be something else going on.
Also, before you go to the dealer check to see if your side windows are indexing when the doors are opened, and closed. These tops do strange thinks if the windows don't index. This usually happens when the battery has gone dead or gotten very weak. If they aren't check your owners manual, they are very easy to reset. The reason I ask is I bought a '07 C6, and the top would not cycle properly. Thankfully the Tech knew what to do, and then came and explained it to me.

Hi Corvette fam. I'm having major issues with my Stingray. First question before I go pick up my Vette from dealer. How often have you had to change the batteries in your key fob? One of them I have never used.

Tonia,
I have a 2014 convertible that I purchased brand new. The only issue I have had is the distinct "click-click" emanating from the rear, near the back window whenever I raise or lower the top. Of course, my local dealer insisted it was "normal" behavior and I have lived with it ever since. No other issues, and definitely not the ones you mention. Stay on top of this. My issue is merely an annoyance. Yours appears far more serious...

I think a few people on here have been in the habit of replacing them after 2 years, I know that a few have found they don't make it to the 3 year mark.

My 2015 will be 3 years old in May and I haven't change the batteries in either FOB.
