How many of you have gotten the 5th free oil change on Z51?
Hi all,
Wondering how many of you have received the 5th free oil change on Z51 / Z06 Vettes per GM's update?
My dealer still says 4 only.... They even checked with GM...
I would think some big dealers like Kerbeck and Criswell and MacMulkin would with no problem. But the smaller dealers seem to all play dumb.... Guess I will have to pay.....
Thanks,
Steve

I looked in your profile and it indicates that you have a 2015 Z51.
You overlooked the current thread linked below - take a look and you'll see that from the 2015 model year onward you get 2 free oil changes with a non-dry sump engine, and you get a free 500 mile oil change plus the other 2 if you have a dry sump engine.
So....with a Z51 that has the dry sump engine, you'll get 3 free oil changes.
Unless.....the dealer wants to on their own give you a bunch more!!! The dealer can probably do whatever they want, but you are only due 3 or 2 (depending on dry sump or not) from Chevrolet under the Complete Care maintenance program.

I never got my fifth because I had already gone over the milage limit by the time the notice came out about the 500 mi. oil change w/ the fifth included free.

Here's a link to a little more info about your free oil changes under the Chevrolet Complete Care program. In there you can see it says:
And if you click on "schedule" at the end of that quote above you'll see:
http://www.chevrolet.com/complete-care.html
I have a 2016, so I don't know what that "All 2017 Corvette models..." statement means. However, I hope one of you 2017 owners will go to http://mychevrolet.com and create an account with your car's VIN and it will tell you what YOUR car is eligible for.
So, please some 2017 go to the site and report back what it says you get in the way of oil changes for a 2017.
And remember - this is what GM/Chevrolet gives you under the Complete Care program. What extra your dealer may give you doesn't count for the rest of us!!

Included Maintenance
During your first 24,000 miles or 24 months of ownership (whichever comes first), we cover two oil and oil filter changes and tire rotations according to your vehicle’s maintenance schedule.

Maintenance visits mush occur within two years or 24,000 miles of vehicle delivery, whichever comes first. All 2017 Corvette models are eligible for three service visits under the Chevrolet Complete Care program...

All later model years (2015/16/17) get two free oil changes; three if you have a dry sump engine because you get a free 500 mile oil change for the dry sump cars.

This is only partially accurate. 2014 AND 2015 models get 4 changes plus 1 at 500 miles for dry-sumps. 2016 and beyond get 2 changes plus 1 for the dry sump.
Your service dept may be asking Chevy the wrong questions. If they ask "How many regular oil changes does a 2015 vette get?" The answer is four, across the board, because they asked for regularly scheduled changes. In the comprehensive coverage link below they differentiate between regular changes and the 500-mile change for dry-sumps.

Thanks for info about the 2015, but it's starting to get toward the end of any 2015 owner to take advantage of any remaining Complete Care free oil changes. The 2016 model year car started being produced in the summer of 2015, so any owners of a late build 2015 only have several months.
For any owner to know EXACTLY what they get from the Complete Care program, just register your car on the mychevrolet.com site and you can see something like what is below for my 2016 dry sump car - THREE visits:

2014 and I got all 5 with Mobil 1 and no upcharge.

I got 5 on a 2015 Z51, but I had to print out a bulletin from GM that was posted here on another thread to get the 5th. I also encountered a lot of confusion at the dealer, with the first service adviser acknowledging it was 5 free changes. He left after the 3rd change and the new adviser said only 4. The bulletin convinced him on the 5th.

Yep - you got 5 (one for the dry sump in your beautiful 2014 Lime Rock Green Z51, four because the 2014 model year got that many). But like you said, you need to do them within 2 years/24,000 miles of getting the car.
All later model years (2015/16/17) get two free oil changes; three if you have a dry sump engine because you get a free 500 mile oil change for the dry sump cars.

Thanks for info about the 2015 getting 5.
Any 2015 owners better hurry up to get their last couple free oil changes in the first 2 years/24,000 miles of ownership!!!
The last 2015 model year Vettes were probably built in about June 2015. Most 2015 owners have already run past 2 years, but if you have a late 2015 model year build you've only got several months to get those last free oil changes!!

I will more than likely just get three on my 15. I got one last year since I put in 15W50 for the track and went to GM for the fall oil change. Will do the same this year and catch the third just before the two years runs out. Only have 6100 miles on the car in 1.3 years so it only needs one oil change per year anyways.
