Default C7 recirculation door location ?

As in the A/C auto mode the info screen show always recirculation auto , it seems that it doesn't reflect the real position of the flapper , otherwise you
would be all the time in recirculation , which is quite unthinkable .
As I can't find any document stating this , I would like to check the position of the flapper in different conditions . I have seen other post where other members had questions about this recirculation always on , but no answer .What do you think ?

My understanding is the blower is always on low BUT I thought with outside air to keep a slight positive pressure to avoid exhaust fumes etc from possible accumulating.

Don't know if these pics from the Service Manual are a help. With all the pics of outlets these two are the only ones that reference and air intake. Believe one opening goes to the cabin air filter that is located on the passenger side. Don't see in any of the pics the cabin air intake duct but this is the actuator and hosing. It's under the passenger side. Best I can do.

Yep, 4 volume set 8 1/2 X 11 each 2 inches think, Many pages. Only available in paper from Helm, the official supplier as they have been for years. $375. http://www.helminc.com

I ordered very early and got some of the first ones offered. I paid $221 shipped but within a few weeks the price increased!

No PDF available. You can get an electronic service like the dealers but very costly annual fee.

Actually, not as silly as it sounds! Just illegal.

Iam on the Intellectual Property Committee ( as well as some others) for our wedling tech society. Was President in 2007, all volunteer efforts.

We sell a ~1 inch thick Bridge Welding Code for ~$500. Copies pop up all the time, many from China. We have an effort to get the folks selling, like eBay etc to remove the offer. Which they do and they just pop up somewhere else. We have ~5000 folks who volunteer to wright these various codes for airplanes, buildings, earth moving equipment, ships etc and they are used around the word. That revenue pays for our 100 person staff at the Society. The volunteers pay their our transportation and hotel costs coming to meetings.

If you're building a bridge on the US you must use the code by state and federal law. Many other countries also specify it's use since it's not written by government bureaucrats who never built a bridge!

The GM Factory service manual, with all wiring diagrams, is available as a yearly internet subscription for $26 per year. alldatadiy.com They have the C7 Corvette manual only up to 2014, but not much has changed for later years.

Thanks, not the official GM authorized Manual as Helm is the exclusive supplier of that 4 volume 2 inches thick each. Perhaps more like a Chlton. Wonder how many pages? Probably good enough for most and I assume searchable; a PIA with 4 volumes, each 2 inches thick! Although the Index isn't bad.

Default anybody having the same question ?

Have you noticed that in the A/C Auto mode the symbol on the A/C screen
( infotainment screen when you change T° for instance ) always shows recirculation Auto . As I'm new to the C7 I 'm wondering if I get fresh air in the car . Normally it should , so in auto the system doen't show the real position of the vent door .Am I wright ? My dealer in France is unable to answer me and GM USA only helps US citizen ...

Then a good deal compared to $375 for a printed version.
