Tire chatter

Tire chatter
Just received my 2017, C7, LT1, Stingray and included with the paperwork was a little yellow car which explained, "when driving at low speeds and in very tight turns, the vehicle may have tire chatter", which mine does. Just wondering if this is caused by 19"/20" run flat summer only tires ? Comments please ?

It's due to the width of the front tires. If you think it's bad with the 245s, the Z06's 285s are much worse, however, normal.

There are a ton of threads on this. Example:

It's normal. How sharp you turn the wheel and the temperature has an effect. But, again, it's normal so there is nothing to really be concerned about. You can minimize the skip by not turning the wheel as sharp at lower speeds.

This is the information I found with lots of pics: By the way it's not Akerman steering radius compensation, sticky tires etc (in fact worse with lower traction in the rain: http://netwelding.com/Wheel_Chatter.pdf
Basically it's the Michelin close to race car tire low slip angles. Need to read to fully understand.
Bit worse with the larger tires but happens to some degree with all. It goes away with higher slip angle winter tires the same size! Most report similar much less of an issue with all-seasons.
Easy workaround. When below 45 F and making slow speed turns, like backing out of a parking slot, turn the wheel 3/4 from full lock max and make a "K" turn. Doesn't do any harm to the car but feels terrible!
Particularly read the warning to NEVER make a full lock turn when cold with a friend in the car. They will laugh and tell all your friends what a piece of junk you bought!
I think about the super lateral "g's" I get when it's warm when I make the extra turn when cold!
