That sucks! I feel your pain though. I hit some crap on the road while on a business trip to Alpharetta GA. In a bunch of rod construction that chip 3 wheels at once! Luckily they were on my OEM black wheels that I keep my winter rubber on. For now a sharpie is keeping them black till spring finally comes to NC and I'll switch them out and spend some time fixing them.
Being a daily driver is the only thing keeping from spending the money on OX or cray wheels.

Those look like teeth marks .................. Could have been my ex wife. She likes to chase cars and bit the tires or wheels. Many mistake her for a large shaggy dog.

Don't sweat it. There are now many wheel repair companies in most urban areas that can make minor damage like that go away for about $100 or so. Many are mobile and will come to your location.
They won't even have to dismount the tire to fix that damage. There are probably several dozen in the LA area.
