Yeah there's no indication that the C8 comes in 2018. The leaks are all around a ZR1 and/or a mid-engine variant of the C7.

Remember they just spent half a billion or so on factory and paint plant improvements that is not related to a C8/new model.

I think the best guess would be a C8 in 2020? 21?

When I picked up my C7 vert at the NCM, we saw the paint facility/plant expansion underway. It is not a casual effort. When we quizzed our guide on what was in store for Corvette based on the obvious significant investment, he would only advise that "there would be big news for 2018 and even bigger in 2020-2021". While that is hardly a crystal ball report, I now take that to mean a C7 ZR1 in 2018 and a C8 and/or ME in 2020-21. C7 sales look like they could stay strong for a few more years (C7 ZR1 should boost) so no need to rush the C8.

They've already said 2018 c7 production will continue in the plant after the reopening.

Yeah, they'll be a "a new car in 2018"... and '19... but they'll all be C7s. You "might" see a C8 in MY2020.

Yes a new C7 in 2018, not sure where you got your misinformation from.

I hear they will make an open back pickup style Corvette to compliment the new El Camino next year. I know for an alternative fact it will be called the El Rayo.
