Van Bortel Corvette Commerical/Introduction
My name is Matt and I handle Corvette sales and marketing for Van Bortel Chevrolet in Macedon,NY. We started just about 4 years ago with no Corvettes and have now grown to have an Indoor Corvette Showroom with over 80 new and used Corvettes to choose from and have become the largest Corvette dealership in NY! We are here to assist with any of your Corvette needs or questions and we look forward to working with you!

Matt very nice commercial. I have heard great things about your dealership from fellow corvette people at our local cruise nights regarding your sales and service people. So much that I recently contacted Nate at your dealership to see if we can work out a deal on a GS. Hopefully the numbers work out and I can choose your dealership to purchase my new GS coupe.Dave

A lot of people don't know BUT at one time Van Bortel was the LARGEST Corvette dealer in the country....They also dealt in Collector cars and Celebrities from all over came to purchase. Reggie Jackson purchased quite a few from the owner "Howard".

Burning Brakes
My 1970 LT-1 came from Palmyra Motors in Palmyra, NY. That dealership was owned by Howard Van Bertel, Kitty's father. Through my NCRS involvement I hooked up with George Cleary who was a salesman at Palmyra in the mid 1970's. Great guy. I have several pieces of Palmyra memorabilia and had several conversations with Mr. Van Bortel back in the early 2000's. Very interesting gentleman. I have photos of Palmyra with a banner saying they were the Largest Corvette dealer in the country. Although it is neat to say I'll bet other dealers claimed the same status. I'm sure Kitty is an astute car dealer as she is a second generation dealer and I'm glad to see them getting involved in the C7 Corvette. Chevrolet needs competent dealers to sell and service these great cars. I wish them the best of luck in their endeavors.

I wrench my own cars and track both of my Z06s. I have been to every single Chevy dealership in Rochester and the surrounding area for service/warranty work and they are all horrible, rude and incompetent except one - Van Bortel. John and Aaron know their stuff and work on Corvettes pretty much all day, every day (from what I can tell). Every time I am there rolling new tires onto their Hunter machine, there is any number of Corvettes up on their lifts. Both of these guys love Vettes and are the only people I know who have more intimate knowledge of these cars than me, and I am a Corvette nut job who drives on a race track and have owned and worked on Vettes for a long, long time. They do good work, run a clean, organized shop and are always interested in keeping me and my cars safe. Plus they are genuinely polite and respectful.
