I see lots of front bumper cover swaps in the future.

Looks to me that the cooling issues are addressed with the car under test. About time!

The high-rise hood tells us it's likely packing a supercharger. I love the aggressive front fascia openings!

This is why I want to wait to get visual mods. Once the ZR1 parts come out, there may be a lot of stage 2/3 spoilers, z06 grilles and splitters coming to the for sale section. Or maybe I will want the ZR1 parts, haha

Good point. I'll be in the market for a Z06 grill. It would be nice to get a used grill instead of buying new. Problem is, how many guys are going to want to sell the entire bumper as a package. We'll see.

Not too much left to the imagination on that pic. Looks good!
So how many are laying bets that the restyled front end is going to travel to the Z06, maybe the GS or maybe the entire C7 line up in 2018?

The Z06 might make sense if it helps with cooling..

But...

Chevy has the make the ZR1 special because of price. So I think the front end will look different than the Z06/GS. Obviously that wing sets it apart...

Thinking out loud here, you won't get that grill into any front bumper cover currently made. You'll need the matching cover as well. The mod becomes more complex and expensive, cuz you'd want perfect color matching on the cover.

Seeing the changes made to the grill suggests they've improved cooling, larger intercooler most likely, as well as possibly larger radiator. Wonder if those changes make the bumper cover unique to the model? Will it fit the Z06 and Stingray front ends? Someone will surely try and if its well done it will look awsome.

It sure looks like a beast. Wonder what the entry point price will be?

Am I the only one that's not crazy about the gaping air inlets? Getting close to the Lexus front which I think is completely hideous.
Sucking fish anyone???

The Lexus fronts are horrible. The front of the zr1 just looks like it's going eat everything in front of it.

No one can say for sure at this point, of course, but earlier pics seemed to show that the front bumper and hood had deeper scallops than previous C7, thus necessitating that both bumper *and* hood be replaced together to match contours.

Both parts needing to be replaced would likely price a lot of people out of the 'retrofit' game for that mod.

Would make sense to me! They've been using C4 engine RPO's, LT1, LT4, rumors of LT5, C4 ZR1 was DOHC. A logical step is a DOHC with a supercharger, I'm guessing 750 to 775 hp.

The wing appears more subdued than the previous spy shots - looks like they were listening to the negative feedback here. I like that as well as the rest of the package shown here.
