Chirping noise in interior right rear

Chirping noise in interior right rear
I've been hearing a chirping noise, almost like a bird, from the right rear of the car when going over rough patches in the road. Going over rumble strips today it was almost like a bird song. It is driving me insane! Might anyone have an insight into this noise?
I have an appointment with the dealer on Wednesday but am trying to avoid the typical response when complaining about noises my Corvette makes: "well it has a fiber-glass body and the flexing makes noises".

I have the same problem on my 2016 Z51 2LT A8... however for me it sounds like it's coming from my left side aka the drivers side. After getting my clear bra installed next week I think I'll go to my dealer and see if he can figure out what's the noise, maybe the targa top? I have the clear roof btw, if that makes a difference.

2014, kind of a chirping sound, I thought it was the shock, gets worse when its cold and barely noticeable after warming up... always the right rear though...
I will find out if it is the shocks within a couple weeks, I am changing over to the Z51 setup

I hear it every once and awhile at low speeds/slowing down. Chirp from right rear. Dealer couldn't find any issues and it doesn't bother me enough yet to do anything about it. Interested to hear what your dealer says.

KamilZ07 - I have the dual top option and currently have the body color top on the car. I don't think it is the roof this time around. I'm familiar with that noice and I lubed the connection points and treated the weather stripping just to be sure.
cowboy casey - the shock is a reasonable guess given the area the sound is coming from and that it occurs when hitting rough spots in the payment with the right rear wheel.
Nothing like an interior car noise to drive you crazy.

sabasigh, I wouldn't be surprised it that's the source of my noise. The noise is coming from that area. I think plastic rubbing could definitely make the "chirping" noise. I'll try pressing on the interior trim the next drive I take. Thanks!

Welcome to the fun. My dealer thought they had it fixed then it started again. Now the squeak is gone but now it's a rattle. Still didn't do what the guy in the other thread do but will tear it apart soon.

I'd like to share the fix to my chirping noise problem. Though it took two visits to the dealer and several days to figure it out the problem has been resolved. Turns out it was the rear hatch that was making the noise. Dealer adjusted the hatch and the irritating noise is gone.
I was also experiencing the A8 shutter to include the RPM fluctuations symptom. Dealer followed the recent TSB bulletin instructions and flushed the transmission. After driving about 100 miles I haven't felt the shutter and I think the RPM fluctuations are dramatically less or non-existent. Time will tell whether the issue has been "fixed".
Thanks everyone for their support.

Update.... I changed out the shocks and the noise is gone so far, I will continue to monitor... It could very well be the rear hatch also

Well I thought the noise was gone but it has resurfaced. Please see attached video to hear it. Sorry for the view of the carpet but I was driving and holding the phone near the noise. Thought that might be an easy way to capture it.
Chirping noise is at 5 seconds in. See this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/robn5b30qb...Noise.m4v?dl=0 to play the video.
Unfortunately the noise is driving me crazy and as a result I'm driving the car less and even thinking about trading it. Hopefully someone might have an idea of the cause after hearing the noise. I don't look forward to taking it back to the dealer. Not because of their service but rather just the hassle of it all.
Thanks for your help guys!

My 2017 GS 2LT A8 with 5,500 miles recently started doing the same thing.

Here's my observation. We have some horrible roads in MI. Freshly paved, I go to track mode, otherwise, I'm in sport. Any hint of vibration noise on crappy roads, I drop to touring, and it's all quiet again

My chirping noise is coming from the rear center latch on my removable top. I can squeeze the clamp and the noise disappears. I don't know if it can be adjusted to minimize or reduce the noise.
Hope this helps.
