So I'm sitting here every day, checking Onstar to see where my car is, on its way across the country, and getting more anxious every day, and I turn on the news and see people killed in tornados and people losing their homes in this severe weather crossing the country and I say to myself..."get your priorities straight"....stop agonizing over a stupid car.
People are losing their lives because of bad weather. The car will get here when it gets here....my heart goes out to all the people affected by these storms. I hope they can recover and get on with their lives.
My Admiral Blue GS is loaded and on the way. I'm tracking it via OnStar. Mark, Tommy and Jessy did a great job working the deal and I can't wait to get the car. Should arrive by next Friday if all goes well. Thank you MacMulkin!
Leaving the snow for sunny AZ...
Nice Sterling Blue GS behind mine.
Head em up, move em out....
Is that rain water on your new car? If so I would not accept it.
Obviously I'm kidding. Congratulations on a great looking ride.
Thanks for the information. I was thinking about a buck a mile. This time of year I think enclosed is definitely the way to go.
Enclosed is always the way to go, anytime of year. Back in 1996 I transferred from Connecticut to California and my company shipped my car on an open trailer. It was absolutely filthy when I got it. I swore I'd never use an open trailer again.
Last Onstar check shows the car is somewhere near Hubbard, Ohio, 2,000 miles away. So I guess I won't see it until early next week. Really crappy weather in the middle of the country.
Congrats on your new Vette. Couldn't wait for my blade silver GS so I flew to Mac Mulkin and drove it home to NC. Got my 500mi oil change done in MD along the way. Great price and service at Mac Mulkin Chev. Thanks to Tommy, Mark and Kenny G.
I ordered some parts for the car. The console lid and rear apron (no pic) just arrived. Now all I need is a car to put them in. I expect the red floor mats and cargo area mat to arrive today as well. My car is somewhere in Indiana at the moment....

Just a heads up. Even though you activated On-Star to track your car the entire electrical system will completely shutdown including On-Star roughly 8-9 days after the car was last started in order to insure the car has enough cracking power to start up so it can be unloaded.
If the car is started for some reason while enroute the electrical shutdown timer will reset.

Interesting...and good to know.
I don't plan on starting the car remotely while it's on the truck...
I assume that since the car was last started on 3/24 it will shut down in 1-2 days. Thanks for the heads up.
Does Onstar really drain the battery that much?

When I was a kid I bought records before I had a record player.
You remind me of me before I bought my Corvettes....I'd start ordering accessories and stuff before I even bought the car.
You're gonna love it.
LOL....this will be my 4th Corvette. I'm 67 years old and I still get excited like a kid on Christmas. My wife makes fun of me all the time. Keeps me young I guess.

Looks like you'll have to change that username to "Myfourth1" pretty soon!
I went from Red Racer to ExRedRacer after I bought my blue C7 last year. Good times!
