Exactly what mine started doing just a week ago. 14,000 miles and V4 mode surging during 70 MPH cruising.

I have an '18 Stingray, ~630 miles on it, so just "broken in." I had observed nothing when the engine went to V4 from V8. Zero change in feel, driveline, or exhaust note--42 pulled. I was actually wondering if it was happening. Had the info display on instant mpg yesterday on a hilly drive, 55-65mph, and was watching the display change from V4 to V8 constantly--throttle off downhill, back on uphill, so evidently it is working. But absolutely no indication outside of the display. While I'm glad about it, I had expected something as a telltale during the change. Maybe a good sign that GM got it right on the '18s? If so, they should be able to upgrade the earlier models. Hoping so, anyway.

I didn't notice anything on my 17 until 5,000 miles. It wasn't bad, but I kept it out of V4 just in case.

If my car ever gets the torque conveter problem I will dump it so fast right after the fix. The fix parts all over the floor dozens and dozens of bolts. Would not want it back. That is majoe surgery. GM should be ashamed of themselves. Horrible company

sadly mine still has paper plates. My plan is to turn off AFM once I get it back via diablo sport tuner. Hopefully this keeps the car in good shape for a year or two.
