Missed Wild Flowers - Photos
12 club Corvettes went on a road trip to Death Valley to see the wild flowers. We were a week early, but still a great time.
Our heavyweight on the trip. C7-R, modded and tuned. 100+ more HP than stock. Also loud. He was late arriving this destination. We heard him coming long before we saw him...
A great time had by all

Nice to see the C4 in the group. I have such fond memories of my C4, how fast it was and how well it handled. for those that have driven a C4 and C7 back to back, how do they compare? Would I be disappointed if I drove a C4 today?

Thanks for sharing. Great pictures. Cant wait for our next club cruise. All looked good, well except for the opera thing. Not sure my ADHD would allow me to sit through one of those knowing my Corvette and open roads were awaiting just outside.

One of the huge disadvantages of FL, we have nothing to drive and see.

Looks like you had a great turnout. I see where most of your group are driving C7's. Our group is just the opposite. We did a 20 car run last Saturday and I think only around 6 or seven were C7's.
Trying to hit "colors" at the right time can be a problem. We had around 15 Corvettes drive all the way to Vermont a couple years back to see the "fall colors" and missed the date by about a week or two. We were early and didn't see much. Then some of us drove south to Cass WV to ride the Cass Scenic Railroad up the side of the mountain(behind a geared logging steam engine) and saw more color than we saw in Vermont. I didn't think we would see a single color at Cass.
Another trip, we had 8 Corvettes drive out to Colorado/New Mexico to ride the Cumbres & Toltec steam powered narrow gauge train through the mountains to view the aspen yellow "fall colors". We hit it perfect and had a great trip.
We have 14 cars going on a trip to Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Arkansas in early November to see the fall colors. Hope we hit them at the right time, as they can vary by several weeks.

When I acquired my 2014 M7 convertible three years ago I had a 1995 C4 convertible with only 10,000 miles (looked like new). When I drove the C4 after driving the C7 decided right then to sell the C4. I knew I wouldn't be driving the C4 much so in a few weeks it was gone.
