Congrats, OP.

I decided when I bought my C7 to do the NCM delivery. I had never done that before. I really enjoyed it. What a great day, and a great way to take delivery of a new Corvette.

Enjoy the trip - it'll be a great memory you'll keep forever.

I made it to CA, but am spending a couple of days in La Jolla before finishing the drive back home. My dad and I had the drive of a lifetime, and it was an experience that I'll never forget. It was wonderful meeting Michael and his lovely wife at the NCM.

1. Shift 1-4. No problem. Just stay in 1st a bit longer before shifting. Sounds better anyway.

2. Manual transmission: Smoothest I have ever owned. What a dream! No problem adjusting after 20 years of autos. Note to self: After two hours on freeway at 70 mph, when coming down an exit to a stop light, pressing in clutch is not optional. Don't forget.

3. Issues:
+ Cup Holders: Not a problem
+ Visibility: Not a problem
+ Blind spots: Not a problem
+ Trunk Space in vert: Not a problem (w/ top up)
+ Torque in 7th at 75mph: Zero
+ Corvette wave: Alive and well
+ Dragon's Tail in Tennessee: Awesome!
+ On board WiFi: Pretty cool.
+ Pollen on car: Bad.

Back home in a couple of weeks w/ pics! Thanks to all of you for your help and encouragement over the last year or so while I was an owner-in-waiting with lots of questions. Now it's real!
Cool as hell, and your car looks fine from that one end photo at NCM, have a great trip(if you're not already home)

We went across the south and zipped up to Utah today. The cool thing is I saw a camo C7 on US-89 headed south. It was full camo, but the oncoming headlights gave it away. Altitude can be north of 6000 on that road. Temps are mid 70's. Looks like we caught something (ZR-1?) on a test run.
