Burning Brakes
I fell in love with Corvettes in 1953 at the first GM Autorama in NY City. I was eight years old.
I bought my first one in 1965, a '56 black convertible that I traded a Triumph Bonneville and $350.00 for. Every time I got behind the wheel of that car the rest of the world just disappeared.
Although I've had a dozen Corvettes since that '56, and enjoyed every one of them, I was never able to recreate the feeling I had driving it.
Until now! Driving my 2014 triple black, 3LT convertible gives me the same feeling I enjoyed 50 years ago in that first '56. There's nothing to compare with a sense of complete, 100% satisfaction... the rest of the world just disappears!

My '14 is my fifth Vette. All of my Vettes have been daily drivers and have been outstanding cars to own and drive. I have had virtually no issues with any of them.
I ordered it in April 2014 and took delivery in May 2014. I have owned some great Vettes and enjoyed owning each. It was hard selling one to buy another. And it is hard to say which is or was my favorite. But the '10 GS and this car probably are my favorites.
With that being said my '14 is the best car I have ever owned.
I get excited to drive it each and every time.

Ok we've had some beautiful weather lately, so I decided to head to the mountains for some fun. As you can see the roads are insane..ly awesome for a car guy. With the tires nice and warm I let it all hang out. WOW! If you ever wanted to know how the GS/Z07 handles in that environment, I can tell you that I broke out into a cold sweat and got nauseous. Too many G's on the switchbacks I guess. After chilling out I went back for more. Gotta love it!

The C7 is a FANTASTIC car!!!!
I love it around town, on road trips, and especially on the track!!
I've had three C6's - a 2005, 2006 Z06, and a 2009 ZR1.
My 2016 C7 Z06 is the best of the bunch!!!!

I love my 2015 Z51 A8 ragtop. More power than I'll ever be able to apply on the street, incredible styling that gets comments everywhere I go, and over 10,000 miles I'm averaging about 24 mpg! Furthermore, the car is as dependable as any Honda I've owned, or the Subaru Outback, my DD.
It's a fabulous car-An M7 would have been great, but my fiance could not reach the bottom of the clutch pedal due to her height! It's a small trade off for a car we both enjoy to drive!

This is my first true sports car. Lots of research of other cars before I got this without being biased towards our vehicle. Absolutely the best car for the money in interior, exterior, sound, and excitement.
One thing I love is how the the gauges and HUD are configurable and how everything faces the driver.
Here's the kicker though since it's my daily. I worry about every time I park. Every scratch on the paint, any misalignment in the body panels, etc. You have to understand it's just a car. Just drive it. It's meant to be used. It's even more beautiful in person every day. It is a masterpiece to me.
Yesterday I took it to the track to do roll races for the 1st time (manual is tough to launch for me still!). I managed to barely beat a tuned Ferrari F430! What an experience. Z51 is makes such a great noise.
Going to Spring Mountain on the 16th this month to learn as much as I can about this near perfect machine.

This is my 3rd Corvette and the best of them all. The power, handling, comfort and just all-around fun of this car is just amazing and I look forward to every time I get to drive it.
Took the wife to the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge this afternoon in the Vette as it was a dry day (finally) around here. On the way headed south on I-5, we came upon a gentleman driving the same car only with black wheels. We cruised along together for maybe 20 minutes...enough to see what others see when looking at my car.
On the way, we took a freeway exit, a 270 degree turn...nice, dry, smooth pavement and as we finished, I told my wife, "That's one reason I love this car." It stayed as flat through the curve as if it had been going straight. It was almost 60 degrees out today so I was pretty confident the "summer-only" tires could handle it with no problems and I was right. I'd just detailed it the night before and it was looking pretty good too.
The transmission has been flawless in 4,300 miles having bought it new last August. The engine is plenty powerful enough for me. I'm taking it to a track this summer so I can enjoy triple digits without worrying about a reckless driving charge and all that goes along with it. I'd gotten somewhat careless from time to time around here on a road that shall remain nameless, and while it's plenty exciting, I'm tired of looking over my shoulder.
Absolutely love this car.
Life is good.

The 2015 Laguna Blue Z51 3LT, A8 is my 3rd Vette. My first one was an '86 C4 (first year with the 3rd brake light), it was decent car, but it had the 4+3 transmission and the auto OD, kept failing. I had that car for about 4 years, then I was Vetteless for 3 years. I picked up a 2000 C5 in 2008 as a retirement gift to myself (20.5 years in the Navy), and I loved that car, I just traded it in about 2 weeks ago for the C7. It is by far the best Vette that I have owned, I thought about a C6, but I liked the look of the C7 much better. I am using my car as a DD, I only log about 7 miles/day to and from work.

Safety Car
TLDR? I finally have my red Corvette and I like it.
When I was a kid I made some extra cash changing tires at my dad's gas station in a small rural MN town. The even smaller town a few miles away actually had a Corvette Club--basically the kids of the wealthier farmers in the area. Nothing wrong with success, but I really missed not being able to join the club . . .
... fast forward to a time I actually could buy a fun-only car. I looked, but never quite went with the Corvette. I was about to in 2001 but I actually could not find a dealer that would let me test drive one(some things haven't changed, it seems). So I got PO'd and bought an Audi tt cabriolet the first year they were offered. Small motor with an annoying turbo lag, but really fun anyway.
Almost bought a C6, but did not like the interior quite enough. Went with a CPO 911 C4S Coupe. After having the AC, two radiators, clutch and the engine replaced on the 911, bailed and went with an Audi S5 Cabriolet. Loved getting back in a vert. The S5 also forced me into a paddle-shift option, as it was only offered with a DCT.
But the C7 pushed all my buttons. Loved the exterior and really loved the interior. Had my heart set on Laguna Blue until I walked around a couple dealers and went back to red. Partly because of the exterior, and partly because of the two-tone interior. By far our favorite car yet! Very happy with my M8 transmission too!
