Default Seeing the future one delivery at a time:Pic heavy Throwbacks/Mike Furman at Criswell

~The Preliminary 2018 Corvette info was released yesterday at Midnight...every one wants to know what is new for the coming year. I implore you to understand one thing...GM only leaks what they want you to know. I guarantee there are more colors coming out and hopefully will be announced at the Corvette Bash in Bowling Green, KY April 26th-29th. I will be on site for those announcements Wednesday the 26th until mid afternoon on Friday the 28th. The higher horsepower "ZR1" is due to be announced soon as well...maybe a year or so later a Mid Engine Halo Super car...and who knows if a 4 door sedan Corvette and an SUV Corvette are in the works as well. We also learned there will be a 65th Anniversary model for 2018...scary thought as I started selling Corvettes when the 25th Anniversary edition came out and I even owned a 35th Anniversary Edition! So here we are celebrating 65 years of the Corvette being a GM production model (except for 1983). That Ladies and Gentlemen is a long time. I was 3 weeks shy of my 18th Birthday when I started selling Corvettes and in August I will be 57. July 26th starts my 40th year of representing the Corvette brand the best way I know how...with experience. Trust me, experience does matter! Check out my Facebook page Corvette Furman and watch some of my delivery video's and other interesting Corvette history I post.

~Tom B. Of Lancaster, PA heard about me thru the Corvette World channels so 7 weeks ago he asked me to appraise his 2010 ZR1 with 19,600 miles over the phone. We made the deal and he ordered his 6th Corvette that he has owned. 2017 Z06 Cpe in Black Rose Metallic with Dark Gray interior, 2LZ Pkg, 7 spd manual trans, Navigation /PDR. Tom also asked our body shop to paint the rear spoiler Body color and it came out great!! We met today for the first time and he was in and out inside of an hour. Quote from Tom after he got home "The experience today was professional and very well organized. I had such a good time driving home that I was sorry it was over so soon. Neighbors ran over to drool over the Black Rose!" Tom B.

~Bryan and Bonnie M. Of Cleburne, Texas found me on Stingrayforums.com. This week they flew up from Texas and were waiting in my office as I arrived. They picked out a stunning 2017 Grand Sport Cpe in Torch Red with 7 spd manual trans, 2LT Pkg, CF badge Pkg, Red calipers, Black alum wheels, CF painted mirrors and more. This is their 22nd Anniversary gift for themselves. Bonnie owns a 1978 Corvette and Bryan just sold his 2015 Corvette to buy this Grand Sport. Fun was had by all this on this delivery! There are times when you meet people and know that you will be friends for a long time...this was one of those times.

~As it happens we had the Red Corvette next to theirs getting shipped out via enclosed trailer to Harker Heights, Texas the same day. So two Red Corvettes landed in the great state of Texas this past week from Criswell.

Other deliveries this week...

~Nathan of Springfield, Va bought a Stingray from me last year and today he took delivery of a Silverado Crew Cab.

~Venkata of Columbia, MD bought a Chevy Volt from me last year and today he was back for a new Malibu. This time he brought his fiance.

~Tim from East Setauket, NY (Long Island) has been buying Corvettes, Camaro's, Silverado's, Tahoe's and Suburban's from me since he was referred to me in 2010. He also has sent me dozens of customers from Long Island. When he doesn't come down with his own trailer he sends a trucker with my favorite dog Simon. If you're a regular viewer of my posts then you have seen Simon before. He is now 15. Simon eats well when he visits Criswell!

~Corvette truckloads arrive 2-3 times per week...from Bowling Green, KY Corvette Assembly Plant...

to Criswell Chevrolet Gaithersburg, MD 301-212-4420

~Throwback Corvette pics, barn finds from all era's including some magazine covers.

*This first cover is in my collection. I have 5-6 Car magazines with shipping labels addressed to Zora Arkus Duntov.

and many more other pics...post up which is your favorite(s).

~My son turned 25 this week...

and my daughter turned 22 two weeks ago...

~My Sunday ride...wave if you see me.

~So true!

~Saying at the Corvette Museum...I agree 100%!

I gotta go for the picture of the C1 and the KSO sweater girl for all the wrong reasons.

Great shots as usual!

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to choose that picture.

As soon as I posted that I figured you probably had a trip planned early Sunday.

You prolly sell more Vettes on a given Saturday than most dealers do in a week.

I'm drawn to the 68 in Bronze. Not because I owned one but bc I wish I did in that color. A couple of my buddies did. One had a 427/435 coupe. Not too late for a buy if Chev was to offer that color shade again. Nice L88 hood on that one & Hooker header side exhaust.

Thanks Mike!

Really cool story and photos of Bryan and Bonnie, hopefully another customer for life! Also, they bought the fastest color.

The ads were cool to see, especially when you can remember those times, and how much has changed over the course of time.

Congrats. you both your son and daughter for their recent birthdays, and here's hoping you have another successful week of delivering many miles of smiles and enjoyment to new vehicle owners!

I sure hope not!!! Neither of those are necessary at all and only hurt the brand, IMHO
