Waxed her today....
And man, am I sore all over. When I was young I used to wax my cars all the time. My Corvettes, Camaros, Chevelles and everything in between. So I have a lot of experience doing so.
Today, after owning my GS for 5 days I decided to wash and wax it using the traditional wax on, wax off method. I decided to use Turtle Wax Ice and while it was easy to "wax on" it was a bitch to "wax off"....holy crap, am I worn out. At 67 years of age it ain't what it used to be....lol
Yes, I've seen all the suggestions about waxes and methods to use and in hindsight I probably will use Zaino or some other product going forward. To be honest, after what I went through today I probably will have a professional do it next time, and in between I'll just do the quick spray wax to keep it shiny.
Suffice it to say, I don't recommend Turtle Wax Ice. Not only is it a bitch to wax off, but it leaves streaks and I had to buff the hell out of it to remove them. I even had to use a damp microfibre cloth to wipe the car off to completely remove the streak marks. Three plus hours and I will be sore tomorrow. Here are some pics of the finished product.

Love the GS and love your color. Congrats.
I clay bar to get rid of all the micro crap so I don't grind it in when waxing. It's always better to start with a clean slate
After clay bar I apply Klasse High Gloss Sealant then wait a day before waxing it.
I'm a big fan of P21S 12700W Carnauba Wax by P21S.

Your GS looks GREAT, nice job with the wax. I just got my GS too and like you, I'm 65 and not really looking forward to the work of waxing it on Monday. I'll probably go with Zaino as I did on my C6. Again, good job she looks really sharp and really shiny.

I waxed my GS last week end. First car I've hand waxed in 15 years. I used the Blackfire Wet Diamond which is technically a sealant not a wax. I was very pleased with how easy it was to use. It goes on like wax but it comes off like a dream. Did the entire car in less than an hour.

My GS was built this week and I'll be using Zaino as soon as I get it home. Zaino Z-2 first, no mixing, just use straight out of the bottle. However you must use very little or you will have a hard time getting it off. (Hard to explain how little. Error on the side of "this can't be enough!) Then follow with Zaino Z-CS that also sets the Z-2. It will shin more than just using Z-CS.
You're only 67! Assuming you have no major heath problems get a tread mill! No reason to consider yourself old! I'm '74 and in addition to a treadmill 7 days a week I use a weight machine and dumbbells first (been doing that for 30+ years!) On back day I do 3 sets of 10 pull-ups as part the routine! Will continue until "I'm Old!"
When it's in your "man cave" no excuse not to use it every day! :lol;

Wax went out years ago. Suggest Zaino Z-CS, it's "apply and let dry," 5 minutes does the whole car!

Waxing a vehicle is old school. Nano-ceramic coatings are the only way to go and is the newest technology in automobile detailing.
Try it, you will not be disappointed.

The polymer sealant needs to bond to the paint surface to be effective.
You would need to remove the wax and start over. Your best bet would be to let the wax you applied work out over time and then in the future remove the wax and then apply the Blackfire Wet Diamond polymer paint sealant.
No need to do it now. It's too late.

You would not want to apply the Black Diamond on top of the wax. The Black Diamond is a "polymer sealant" and would be a waste of the product.
