Show 'N Go plate holder
I have a 17 GS ordered with a TPW 5/15. On my current C5 I have the remote Show N Go plate holder and love it . Put it down for cruise nights/ shows up for driving. Does any one use this plate holder on there C7? How does this fit and look with front splitter? Thanks Dave
Foosh , If you see this post awhile back I think you showed a similar type that was manual and would be removed when not in use. I tried to find that thread but couldn't find , could you please post name of product . I think the name was similar to above title. Thanks Dave

Yes, I've had this one on both my Jaguar F-Type and my C7. It's a excellent product, well made in the USA out of 6061 alloy, no-drill, 5-minute installation, and plate on and off in 15 seconds.
It's called Sto-N-Sho. They do sell both splitter and non-splitter C7 versions. Mine is the non-splitter version pictured below.

FYI, Mike is a great guy, retired career military (Chief Master Sergeant-type). He created this himself, and runs this small business in retirement out of his house w/ his daughter's help.
It's the type of business I love supporting.

Leaning towards getting this plate holder easy install . One question What was the small hole that you have to drill and put screw in then tight half turn for? Did it go thru back end of bracket or a set screw of some type ? Hard to tell in video. Thanks again Dave

It's not required for a C7 installation . . . that was for other cars. Absolutely no drilling is required on the C7.
You simply remove the two center OEM screws of the dozen or which attach the under tray, and put the mounting block back on using the same screws.
Anyone who can screw in a light bulb can install this on a C7 in 5 minutes.

I would not add anything that becomes the lowest point on the front end.
Mounting in the grille with factory mount still looks like the best solution.
Especially if you trim the bracket down to the size of the plate.

I think you obviously did not read post #2 carefully enough.
They offer versions for both splitter-equipped (Z06/GS) and non-splitter cars. If you put an after-market splitter on your base or Z51, just purchase the Z06/GS version.
I agree, and I wouldn't either. Fortunately, it's not and flush with the lowest part (shin catchers) of my non-splitter equipped Z51.
Those fold-under things, in the subject line of this thread are a lot lower.

an not interested in something that is lower or goes underneath, my car is low enough already, to rub humps.

What is a "base splitter?" Neither base, nor Z51 comes with one.
What is it about the fact that it's not lower than the lowest point of the car that you don't understand? How would know not ever having seen one? You're just speculating without having any clue what you're talking about.

I can't vouch for the Z06 version, not having seen one installed, but I think the rods extend just a bit further forward to accommodate the splitter. If it's like mine, it will be at essentially the same height of the splitter.

No pictures don't say it all if they are taken from the wrong angle. From the angle of the shots, you can't tell the relative height of the chin and the bottom of the plate.
The rods inserted into the mounting block installed behind the splitter angle upward.

Yes the flaps in front of the tires are a lot lower but those can scrape without any real damage to the car. This is well designed and I really like the idea but you are going to lose a bit of effective ground clearance. I'd be leery of doing that here in MA as road quality can be spotty with the hot/cold temperature cycles.
It is fantastic for a base stingray though.
For those concerned about ground clearance there is another front plate bracket sold by several vendors that clips to the GS/Z06 grill. It has no ground clearance issues but it is nearly double the price at $180.
