True...only 396 '16 Stingray Convertibles were produced with Laguna Blue paint. Black is very common.

I read a great quote on here not too long ago. Something along the lines of

Do it right the first time. This life isn't a dress rehearsal.

^^^^^ couldn't be more true.

if the money difference is putting you out? Don't do it. If it's extra money that should it disappear tomorrow means nothing? Don't be greedy. Make the move.

Never know what could be around corner death illness etc. F it. (As long as it isn't putting you in poor house lol)

I would keep the vert and the $8K
You have it backwards the Convertible is quieter than a Coupe top down versus top off and top up roof on. I take it you speak without haven't owned or driven both.

My $$ is on the Grand Sport. Love the styling and performance at the price point.

Sometimes I change just for the sake of change.

Nice car but is it worth the upgrade for the wide body because the engine and the options are the same as yours.??????????

I think the price difference is reasonable, if that is what you are asking. And if it were me I'd rather have the GS but I do not like convertibles.

Transmission and coupe/vert are usually choices most have fairly strong opinions on, both are M7 so how do you feel about vert vs. coupe? If you like the top down experience I don't think you'll get enough of that from the removable roof, on the other hand if you are finding the vert with top down isn't quite what you thought it would be then I would move to the GS.

If you have any interest in tracking the car at all then definitely GS as you cannot track the vert.

He's talking about the GS/Z06 spats. Go look at the most recent spy shots of the "ZR1", the car does look much better with proper flared fenders.

I'd keep your 2016, both for the color and the convertible.

Gary your car is beautiful how much do you enjoy the vert experience. I did not trade my 2008 C6 vert for a C6 GS and I wont trade my 2014 C7 vert for a C7 GS. The GS is nicer looking but same HP as my STINGRAY Z51. Gary I don't know what your budget is but I remember you had that awesome C6 427 VERT! I am trading on a NEW 2017 Z06 VERT. That to me is worth trading up and if you don't want New their is some fabulous deals on VERY LOW MILEAGE USED 2015-2016 used Z06 VERTS! Even though you never seem to buy used it would make sense if not new a SWEET LOW MILEAGE Z06 WOULD JUSTIFY YOU UPGRADING IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT! THE THRILL OF THE HUNT IS ON FOR YOU AND BELIEVE ME I KNOW THE FEELING!

Doesn't sound like a bad deal considering your trade in is so new. Though I have owned a few convertibles in the past and still have one (96 Pontiac formula)in addition to the c7 coupe. Targa top out doesn't compare at all with a true convertible. The wind and wind noise is terrible above 60. I chose the coupe this time around as I normally ride my motorcycle on good top down days now.

Dave, I do enjoy the Convertible a lot! A Z06 Convertible would be the ultimate Corvette for me, but even slightly used C7 Z06 Verts are out of my affordability. I will most likely just keep what I have unless a"Killer" deal comes by.

The only thing about a Z06 vert is that with all that HP, and arguably some dicey handling at the limits, I think I'd rather have a roof over my head.
