Default Which would you rather have?

Really debating on trading my '16 Stingray Convertible for a '17 GS Coupe. Both cars are 1LT trim levels and manual transmissions. Trade difference is about $10,000 minus $2000 Corvette Loyalty.

I'd do it just for the color upgrade.

To answer your question, I would rather have the GS. With that said, your current Vette is an outstanding looking Vette. I don't know if I would spend another $8K for the GS.

Sounds like a good deal! I like the blue but you can't beat the widebody!

Nice car, but that's a pretty good deal on the GS, which is my vote.

Unless you go to the track, I say keep the blue and put the $8K in savings toward a C8. That said, I have no idea what your financial situation and what $8K means to you.

Gary you are at it again as I think you are just trying to catch up to the HARVEY GLUCK guy that has owned 75 CORVETTES! Honestly to me it would all depend on how much you like a CONVERTIBLE? For me I would never do it just because I would not own a Corvette that is not a Convertible. Call me CRAZY but I would rather have my 2003 C5 50TH anniversary convertible than that GS you are thinking about but that's just me. All the Corvettes I have owned in the past have been Convertibles except my first which was C4 1993 Anniversary coupe my first and last coupe. I would only trade your car for a GS that is a Convertible! FOR ME ITS ONCE YOU GO VERT YOU NEVER GO BACK!!!! Good Luck Dave!

I'd keep the blue. Nice looking ride. Wide body is cool, but not enough of an upgrade for the money. More like a cross grade since you're giving up the vert. I'd wait for more significant changes.

GS for sure! But the vert is nice. Win/Win either way.

GS obviously - but I like the coupes better than the verts so that's some bias showing there. But I love my GS!

I would keep the one you have unless the trade was for a Z06. Not sure I could go back to a coupe after owning a Vert but that is another thing for you to think about.

Even up, I prefer the convertible and when you throw in 8K well for me it is a no brainer since I prefer verts.

Unless GM fixes the front fenders (unlikely) on the GS I will never purchase one. Every time I see a C7 GS my eye is imediately drawn to the plastic on the front fenders. I am surprised GSs are selling so well?

GS would be my choice, but not spending more money after just one year.

I would take the GS over a convertible, but I would take the base Stingray over a GS. I considered trading my 2014 Stingray for a GS to get the widebody, but decided that there were more things I had to get on the GS that I did not want or need, like eLSD, navigation, mag. ride, big brakes, etc. Also I don't like the body color accents on the side vents... I would have to black them out... Decided to keep my Stingray.

Don't really like the stuck on accents in body color
