Default Water under passenger seat

2015 Z51 Convertible with 17,700 miles.

Washed and dried the car recently. Was vacuuming the interior and when I moved the passenger seat forward, I noticed a bit of clean water around bolt under the right rear corner of the passenger seat. No other evidence of water as a result of the wash (nothing on the interior of the roof, window, seat, door, etc.)

Dealer has water tested the car for a couple of days now and found nothing. They also said all exterior seals from "road splash" are sound.

For now, I'll keep a close on it. Anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Thanks
Jim

I've read about that a couple of times on here. I think once was the seal around the top was bunched up and leaking, the other was the seal around the wiper arm leaking. Good luck, leaks are like electronic problems, they can be a real pain in the *** to track down.

Just for general purposes check to make sure your windows are indexing. If the battery has gone dead, or been unhooked the windows may not be sealing when you close the door. Just a thought.

Or you could have hit the seals with the water just the right way for it to get inside. I have to be careful with the wife's Mustang vert when spraying around the rear of the door windows.

Good luck, I hope you find the problem. Luckily my vert doesn't leak (knock wood).

I had water come in during a wash. Mine occurred where the windshield, roof, and window come together. I must have forced water in by hitting the seal just right cuz it hasn't happened since. Maybe that's all that happened to the OP's car.

When I install my coupe top the seal at the corner of the b-pillar can get pinched or folded over a little, causing a small gap. Now I pay close attention when removing and installing the top. Hope this helps.

Along with the other suggestions, and given experience with C5 leaks in that area, here's a few things to check:

Do you park on a slope?
(Water runs downhill so if you do, the leak point could be in the front, not the rear)

Are the drain tubes on the rear side of the B pillar clogged?
(Overflow to the passenger compartment)

Has the door ever been taken apart?
(Interior door seal, if breached, broken, or not sealing well, will dump water behind the seat)
And
Did the dealer check the drain holes in the bottom of the door itself?
(If they are plugged, then water builds up in the door and may overflow to the interior)
