2015 Corvette Stingray Z51 package serial number 000001 True first serial number
Hello
new to the site but I recently got a 2015 corvette stingray 2Lt package which is the first serial number This is verified by all documentation as well as a few news articles I found with photos of the car. it is a shark gray metallic convertible with grey suede and carbon fiber interior with competition racing seats Heads up display in color and countless other options. What really interests me is how collectible or what do you think this car is worth being a true first serial number I was told when the car was purchased that Gm usually keeps first serial number cars and have seen others go for outrageous amounts. Thoughts? Any insight would be appreciated. Throw some numbers at me.
Greatly appreciated

It's curious that '15 was built 2 months earlier than my 7/14-built, 2014 Z51 convertible, which was among the last 14s built.
Other than the OP car being the first production A8, which I'm not sure is a selling point, there were virtually no other changes. I doubt it's particularly collectible. If it was '14 #1, it certainly would have some collector value, but as was pointed out above I believe that is in the Hendrick collection.

Agree... sadly just a used car. Now maybe in 2065 it may bring 10% more as a 50th anniversary car.
It's a mid $30's car as it sits. And will track down for the next 20 years.

Nice looking Vette drive it and enjoy it. As for worth no added value with the #1 Vin for this model.

Two things that popped out:
1. The second number after the year identifier "F" is a "0" which probably is an indicator that the car was the first 2015 built for a GM staff personnel. Normal production cars, "non specialty" all begin with a "51" after the year code.
2. Still has a 2014 steering wheel (not flat bottom that came with 2015s).

Since 2015/16/17 models all have had very minor changes that don't require extensive testing, I believe these first batches are just built for engineering staff, execs, and promotional displays.
If I'm wrong, someone will surely correct me.

Just look at transaction prices... sucks. A 14 loaded vert that stickerd at $78, was bought by me a year ago for $52k would sell for low $40's with 9k miles.
Gotta love the depreciation... depressing

Very nice looking car, but , not going to be all that collectible as a '15 with the 0001 serial number.
