Default 60mph to 120mph fast list

Can't find the stats for it. Does anyone have the numbers for 60 to 120mph stats? or other highway speeds , wondering how fast C7 runs from 60 to 120 or other highway speeds. (for C7 vs other cars)

I don't think anyone consistently measure that type of speed test. This opinion piece talks about how 0-60 times are becoming a joke due to launch control programming, brings up an interesting point I guess :-).

It probably takes a while in top gear. If you shift to 3ed, then not so long.

I mean really, why? It's not like there won't always be a faster car on the road than you...

mine goes from 5mph to 117 mph really quick, measured from the bottom of the intercostal bridge to just before the top where I slam the brakes to slow it to 60mph, in case the cop is sitting in wait for me.

That sounds like fun.

Everyone should read this article.
The author brings up some valid points.
Perhaps a more Real World metric would be 5 or 10 mph to 60 mph.

Car and driver has been doing rolling start 5-60 for years.

C7 Z51 manual

0-60 3.9 sec.
5-60 4.4 sec

C7 Grand Sport manual

0-60 3.8 sec.
5-60 4.4 sec

C7 Z06 Convertible manual

0-60 3.3 sec.
5-60 3.9 sec

The Cayman with its small 2.0L turbo is an example of where displacement is proves better than a small turbo engine the manufacturer used to get better fuel economy.

0-60 4.3 sec.
5-60 6.1 sec

1.8 second difference. Yikes!

You have some things working for you with 0-60. First, you can keep the car in the power band, and, second, you have engine inertia on your side. I don't know if it is necessarily gaming the system with launch control, as the author implies. Often, a skilled driver can out perform launch control.

a much more common test of speed is 60-130, you'll have much more luck finding info online in that category.

Cool that the intercoastal extends into Mexico...

I had a Buick Regal 455 GS years ago that inexplicably had 2.73 rear gears. It wasn't much off the line, but from about 75 to 125 it was a blur. My 2001 Corvette coupe with a built LS3 had savage acceleration from 75 to 150.
