I'm really liking this.

It's a toss up between that, Satin Dark Grey and Satin Dark Cloud.

I don't like any of the mattes.

Sorry the link shows a pink VW. That's not my first choice.
My 1st. choice is the Gloss Flip Psychedelic.
You can click the color and go through the pics.

Love black but love silvers just a little more.

The gloss flip is horrible.

Matte grey aluminum or Satin Battleship grey would be my choice in grey colors.

Yes, I know, should have bought silver to begin with. Just didn't have the options I wanted at the time of purchase. Yes, I know, could have ordered the way I wanted. Didn't want to wait.
Yes, I know, I'm prettty stupid.

I'm getting a quote on Thursday. Over the phone was just around 3K.

There was a color that I loved but it was 8K because of the color/material.

This is the exact color I'm looking for. It's on a Mustang but 8K?

Ha ha, isn't it funny. My hairs too straight, my hair too curly, I'm too tall, I'm too short...
In all honesty, I think I'd like to dye my silver Z51 orange with black highlights for a while, but I think I'll wait until the end of summer.

So I know with an Xpel clear wrap when you wrap the full car there are still areas they can't cover because the seams would be too much or it would make it look crappy. Like on the mirrors for example. What do they do if you wrap the color?

I'm getting my new GS wrapped in 3M gloss Burnt orange with a GS center stripe in gloss Avery Dark Grey. I'm getting it done before I even pick it up at Atlanta Custom Wraps. They've done a ton of Corvettes already. My car is a black M7 with Z57 option. The cool thing about black is that a lot of things like mirrors and vents don't need a wrap bringing the cost down.

I would go for it. The price you were quoted sounds reasonable depending on whether you have the door jambs done or not. Lastly, before you dive in, order the samples from Fellers in 1' square pieces so you can see what they look like in different lighting.

Good Luck!

The material is different and conforms tightly, kind of like shrink wrap. There will be a seam if you know where to look, but not visible like what you see with thick clear bra material. It's really amazing how it just looks like paint when done by the experienced professional shops.

Here's one done in Avery Gloss Orange (deeper orange than 3M Gloss Burnt Orange):

$3,000 is a good chunk of a year's depreciation. A wrap will never be like paint. I would investigate getting another car.

I would love matte dark grey but 3k is freakin expensive for something you can never sell. At least I can get ~50% back on my wheels.

Well, many cars are wrapped and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference from paint when done professionally.

If you compare the cost of a full wrap with PPF, it's about the same cost and you have the benefit of keeping your original paint in new condition. Depending on the wrap, it can add a little on resale (certainly not the full price but maybe worth $1K).

I think it's a good alternative for a black car, like what I'm doing with my new Grand Sport. Added benefit in a color you can't get from the factory.

A Green Lantern color scheme (green, black, and white) would actually be pretty sick if done right.

If this is an opinion poll, choose what you like. I was never one to get opinions. I will most definitely steal others ideas but never make a choice on someone else's thoughts.

Absolutely.

I just gone done washing the car and the black is just so sexy and I'm teetering right now. But, it also so easy to to see flaws and scratches on black.

As far as the guys commenting on money, depreciation. I don't care, why should you? It's just a car, guys. A bitchin one but still just tin and rubber. Live, enjoy, have fun.
