I was really hoping that they pull across the Iridescent Pearl Tricoat used on GM models, but alas, they did not.

I think most of us are excited about the new paint plant, however I'm starting to doubt that we're really going to see any drastic improvements or offerings with the C7 generation. I think most of the R&D is now in the C8 and these type of packages are the only type of cosmetic improvements we're going to see from GM until the C8 is released with or without the ZR1.

Based on previous discussions and rumors that the color offering was going to expand for 2018, we didn't get anything except this dull white or primer gray with special stickers, a new steering wheel, and forced existing CF options loaded into a single package replacing a light metallic blue that was very close to an existing metallic silver.

I will reserve final judgement until I see it in person, but so far I'm underwhelmed. Nothing has moved me off of my target of either an Arctic White or Torch Red Z06. I know that may be boring to some, but they both work well on the C7 frame and are Corvette classics.

As to the steering wheel, it's OK but I've seen better looking aftermarket designs already posted on this Forum.

P.S. - I hope I eat crow in less than 24 hours if GM announces a new list of colors at the NCM Bash. However, I'm not holding my breath.

...I'll pass on that interior. I'd even say it's worse than the decals. And like I said before, I can deal with the color if it's included without the package since the consumer can (generally) do a better job with the other available schemes out there.

100%. Who ever is in charge of design and colors should jump on this Forum and learn a thing or two. This one is aweful

I would say the color is best described as off-white or eggshell in color with just a tinge of blue. Having seen it in the sun, there is some metallic in the paint and while it’s not a true matte color in the traditional sense, that’s probably the effect when viewed indoors or out of the direct sunlight.

Here it is next to an Arctic White Corvette Grand Sport for comparison.

Just my opinion, but that is one ugly car. All it needs are some wide whites to set it off.

I'm thinking this for new colors.

2cnd Chance: So...random question because this seems to get brought up a bit. Is this an issue of GM not taking a chance with the more aggressive colors, or the consumer not pulling the trigger on an actual purchase when (if) GM actually pulls it off? I thought the Daytona Sunrise Orange was a pretty good color for what it's worth, but it got pulled a bit prematurely in my opinion. Almost as if the color didn't even get a chance to see if it could sell, warranting another production year.

I find it some of both. GM has been wary of the color blue, however the new admiral blue on the Corvette and the new blue on the Camaro have been very popular. My feeling, if they can experiment with these strange colors such as this gray why not try something sportscar-like and colorful i.e. the green and orange in the pictures above.

I would say it looks like an absence of color. There are only two colors that are offered right now that I do not like. If this was included there would be three colors I would have to pass on. I must say though, the styling of the C7, being so magnificent will usually overwhelm most colors.

I am glad I saw it before ordering - I was expecting a very dark highly metallic grey - a cross between carbon flash and cyber gray.
That color looks just like the gray my parents had on their 1975 Pontiac Lemans - all it needs is the blue vinyl top and blue velour interior.

I love the exposed hood and the new steering wheel. I have the exposed roof and suede flat bottom wheel but this looks great. I don't like the blue "special edition" stuff but the interior, paint, and hood are nice.

I guess there's some truth to that but there are a lot of potential new Corvette buyers out there as well if things change to target the more younger affluent buyers by offering some new colors, matte colors, eliminate Chrome Wheels and a few other things.

I could be wrong, but I think GM stopped offering chrome wheels on the C7 for a short while, and it caused a riot. However, you see a lot fewer C7s with them than any previous gen.

I'd love to see "gecko" green and bright orange Corvettes, but I suspect they won't sell well. I don't see that many matte cars either from manufacturers that do offer them. Even younger buyers aren't going for them in large numbers.

I'm looking forward to seeing the color without all the graphics and decals. I'm thinking it might look good matched up with Shark Gray vents and hood stinger, etc. Perhaps matched up with the Spice Red interior and Spectra Gray wheels. Sometimes GM has the right parts, but lose their fashion sense with these special editions.

The exposed weave carbon fiber components look nice and I wonder if GM will allow you to purchase the rear quarter vents, etc. separately. I know APR already has them available and they match the GM weave.
