I've owned countless cars, trucks, motorcycles.... and I really only had one clunker, which was a Ford Probe.

I've been fortunate with the rest, and so far so good with my Z06

I have only 1500 miles on my 2017 Grand Sport, so it's too early to say.

Worst: 2005 Dodge Caravan. We had to replace the transmission and it sounds like a fan motor or something is going. The remote door locks are intermittent because the locks on the sliding doors stick. The headliner is already falling down though the vehicle has only 50K miles on it (it's our fourth car, mostly for hauling dogs and junk).

Best: 2005 Nissan Altima. Except for a wheel bearing and a chunk of A/C line that sprung a leak and was cheap to fix, I haven't had to put a nickel into this car after 130,000 miles. With 250 hp it is quick enough to have a little fun with and it's comfortable for long rides. Most of all, it was very inexpensive which left money to buy cooler cars. I plan on driving it for a long time.

Worst Car: 1967 Mustang Fastback: Monthly cost of repairs was higher than a new car payment six months in a row. That's when I traded it in.
Best Car:
Most Reliable: 2005 Toyota Highlander, In 10 years of ownership only four minor, non-maintenance repairs costing less than $1K total.
Most Fun: 1969 Corvette convertible. My first Vette. Nothing like being single, with a Corvette and a good paying job. Life was good!
Most Advanced: 2014 Corvette Z51. Can't top my current ride for the most advanced car, currently in the running for the most reliable.

Worst : Land Rover Range Rover HSE. What a piece of ****!
Best : Volvo XC90 5 cylinder FWD. From a mechanical perspective, the most reliable car I've ever had. Gave it to my daughter and it's still here.

I had a 1980 Chevrolet Chevette that was completely awesome in how terrible it was. Everything about it was bad except the most important thing - it ran - and got me from point A to point B somehow.

My best car ever is my 2016 Stingray Z51...power, handling, design...most fun I've ever had in a car.

My worst car ever was my 1975 Triumph TR7. Slow, under-powered, horrible electronics, but it handled well. Speedometer quit working and the car left me stranded by the side of the road a few times due to electrical problems.

My worst car is probably my old C5. But the reason is it's history. It was wrecked prior to my ownership and put together by some people who were less than experienced.

My C7 will likely be my best, however that remains to be determined since it only has 32 miles on it.

My lowest operating cost has to be my old 2004 Oldsmobile though. I bought it brand new in 2004 and sold it 8 years later for $6,800 less than my purchase price.

"Rustang"

I think my best and worst car was the same vehicle, which was a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT. Had it for almost a decade and was very reliable in most departments, but for whatever reason, it always had an electrical problems of some kind.

The instrument panel lights didn't work the day I took it home from the lot.

There was an issue where the entire electrical components fritzed out, maxing out my high beams and turning everything to ON, even when the car was turned off. Had to disconnect my battery in order to avoid a complete drain. And what luck - this happened three weeks after the warranty expired. Thanks buddy!

And as a fitting end, a car cut me off on my way to work forcing me to t-bone her vehicle. She immediately took fault, and external damages were minimal, but the damages to the main computer totaled it.

It was replaced by a 2015 Nissan Altima which is crazy good on mileage. I didn't even know it was possible to drive from Chicago to the Jefferson coastline off a full tank of gas (still had 3/8 left).

The best:

The worst:

And it's a real shame, because I do like the car, but the dealership experience is ruining it for me. While none of my other cars of have ever been in the shop for more than two days for any repairs. The The C7 has spent more than three weeks in the shop in just 14 months of ownership.

The dealership damaged my rocker panel when I took it in for an oil change. Didn't say a thing about or admit to it. So I drive my car home, just so happen to look under the car, and there's a cracked rocker panel.
I take it back to the dealership, and spent four days in the body shop.

Now it's been in the shop for 11 days. Yesterday after being in the shop for 10 days waiting in line of 3 other vettes for a torque converter replacement, I'm told my car missed the cut off date by one month and all they are going to do is triple flush the transmission. Give it back to me, have me test drive it for a few hundred miles, and if the problem comes back and then they'll replace the torque converter.
Why didn't they check the build date on the car first and flush the transmission last week?
If my wife and I ran our businesses this way we would've gone bankrupt too, but without the taxpayers to bail us out.

Not counting my 1966 L79 convertible..., my best vehicle was/is my 2002 Suburban (bought new and still have it w/165K+ miles). Worst vehicle was my 1975 Firebird. I bought it used in 1981 because "I HAD to have it".... It was so slow it couldn't get out of its own way. The motor ran hot, the A/C never worked right, the transmission blew within the first year and after I bought it (as is) I discovered areas of poor quality body work where the car had apparently been hit. Also the paint (maroon) didn't have a shine to it. I was young and couldn't afford to take a financial loss so I was stuck with it for awhile. Live and learn

Worst to Best (I'm 27 and have only owned four vehicles):

1.) 1998 Z28 Camaro - I really loved this car and had a couple of fun mods done, but from a maintenance perspective, something was always wrong! Water pump (notorious on LS1 cars), AC Compressor, Spark Plugs, etc. Owned from 2010-2012
Name: Carl.jpg
Views: 1227
Size: 73.6 KB

2.) 1997 Chevrolet Silverado - This was my first car and the only reason it's ranked second is because, well, see below. Great truck, no issues other than the passenger window motor broke. Owned 2005-2007
Name: Chuck.jpg
Views: 1209
Size: 21.6 KB

3.) 2007 Chevrolet Silverado - Loved this truck. LOVED! I seriously cried when I sold it, and I sold it to get my Stingray if that tells you anything about how much I loved it. I drove this truck for 7 years and it gave me no problems and looked amazing. Owned 2007-2014
Name: Jack.jpg
Views: 1270
Size: 164.3 KB

4.) 2014 Chevrolet Corvette - I mean, what's not to love! Owned 2014 - Current
Name: Sig.PNG

Best would my C7 for obvious reasons.

Worst is my C7. It occupies too much of my time. I just can't stay out of it. I hate this car soo much.

Worst car, by far, my 1980 Pontiac Phoenix. Pontiac version of the Chevy Citation. Anemic V6, and plenty of problems while under warranty.

Best car is a tie. First my '85 MR2. Bulletproof, a blast to drive, and my first modern sports car.

Tied with my '16 Z51. My fifth Corvette, an incredible car. So far trouble free after 14k miles.

Worst - 2002 Porsche 996; owned for 4 months - spent 36 of those days at the Porsche dealer for Mass Air Flow sensor repairs (that the insurance company then battled with Porsche on every single change). On the drive home the dashboard lit up like a video game again - I drove it back to the dealer the following day and told them I refused to drive back home in that car.

Best - had my 2017 C7 for less than a week now, but am in love.. hoping it doesn't develop rear suspension and creaky targa top problems that I had in my 2012 C6

Emotional - my 1973 240Z... had her for nearly a decade, fully restored, will be buried in that car <g>

The best.....our 2008 Corvette base convertible. Not one thing has gone wrong with it in almost 10 years.....excellent. Worst? A mint condition 1968 Corvette Coupe purchased when it was 6 years old way back in '74. A 327/350...constant issues and problems over one year of ownership. Looked great though!
