JerryU, Did you present a current valid registration when you picked up your new car and closed the deal and then were denied by the dealer and GM?
Yep. I had a registration and an insurance card. But I had sold the car 6/7 weeks before and ordered this one the same day. I had the car delivered to a courtesy dealer, who was great! They had nothing to do with the purchase or sale of the old Vette.
I was honest when I sent all the information to GM. Had copy of the Sold Vette sale receipt, registration (but for a car I sold,) copy of the order showing it was placed the same day.

As I understand and read the denial it appears you must own the car when you receive the new one. It doesn't say that directly and makes no sense to me. Don't see how the dealer I purchased it from or the Courtesy Delivery Dealer has anything to do with the sale transaction!

You gave them unnecessary information. All you had to do was show them the current registration. You shot the deal down yourself by volenteering you no longer owned the car.

I just bought a leftover 2016 today and received the $2000 rebate. I gave them a copy of my 1984 and my 1967 registrations. That is all that was needed.

Sad, but true! The only thing necessary is to show the dealer a valid current registration on the Corvette. Do not tell them that you sold it. Some dealers don't care if you sold it or not... long as you have the valid reg. Then there are others that do. I know this because I received the loyalty rebate a few times after my car was sold to a private individual. I let them think that I still owned it.

What do you mean by copy? Can I scan mine on my computer and email it to my salesman?

Perhaps true. However I was honest and frankly $2000 is not worth me not telling the truth!

I'll keep trying!

Honestly, after just selling your Vette and buying a new one....the dealer should have honored the Corvette Loyalty for you! You had a valid registration and insurance card and that is all that was needed. This plus you are a Loyal Corvette Customer! This rebate to some dealers is as confusing as to what oil should be used in our Corvettes!

Thanks in advance.

There was a thread earlier today about May incentives. Find that one for details, but loyalty is gone.

Hey MacMulkin,
Your current deal appears to be 12% off with the bonus tag included? Your showing it ends 5/5/17. Is that because you have to apply the bonus tag this week, and your keeping it open which cars get the bonus tag as long as you can?

What happens next week, are certain cars stuck with the tag and other not?

Are these bonus tags only for Corvette or do they apply to other cars on your lot?

^^^^ This. GM needs to get it's act together in regards to what they consider being loyal to the brand.

The Corvette loyalty rebate started December 2016. I purchased my car on December 9th trading my 2014 Stingray on the 2017. Pleasant surprise, first time ever I made out on a rebate. The rebate lasted five months.

I answered your first couple of questions in the other thread you posted in. The discounts on our Corvettes are for Corvettes only - not other cars.
