Maybe from the sound of the presentation, they are just putting the larger diameter Z51 wheels on everything now?

Yes, there is no "new" base wheel, you just get Z51 wheels standard on base Stingrays now. So basically all theres a new carbon fiber steering wheel, and a baby blanket blue color for 18.

I was really hoping for something more exciting to be revealed today.

Jeremy - I stopped by your car few times today, but you were nowhere to be found. Beautiful car. I love you retractable poster sign; where did you get it?

I'm sorry. I'll be around the car more tomorrow. And thank you! The show board is from Car Show Depot in California. They do great work!

Thanks for the post....for those of us who couldn't be there. Like the fact that the Corvette still continues to innovate & change during the model run. Would like to know what Tech changes are now available.

Thanks for confirming the info. on the base wheel standardization to Z51.

On a side, but somewhat related, GM Performance cars "general interest" note, from what I'm reading over on my 6th gen Camaro 1LE Forum, two black captive test fleet 2018 ZL1 1LE Camaro's made an appearance at NCM Motorsports Park (Thursday at least).

Anyone else see them there?

From the sound of that post (in the 1LE section) the cars didn't get out onto the track, but just hung out in the paddock area as the GM Engineers who drove then there were just putting miles on CTF cars prior to production in 2018 MY.

Here's the link if anyone's interested:

This is a great time for GM Performance cars in general.

God help us if anyone ever thinks I'll be owning a self driving car in my lifetime!

Looks like this steering wheel does not have paddles..."Rev Match" for manual or Gear shift for automatic???

Never mind... I can see it over the headlight controls.

The left paddle is visible in front of the turn signal stalk.

I'm digging the new whitemetallic, I do agree Lexus peal was very nice, but so was Mitsubishi's they used on the 3000gt back in the day.

Not crazy about the wheel, that carbon fiber is going to get hot as hell on daily use. I had the wood steering wheel on my ex-wife's Volvo x60 and hated it just for that reason.

I saw it on the interstate Wednesday morning and then it pulled into Hardee's next to the plant. I later saw it parked in the NCM parking lot on Thursday and Friday.

I like the Z06 blade wheels better actually. In pictures on their own they don't look that great but on the car they look much better. I find the standard Z06 wheels too busy for my taste, and I bet they are a pain to keep clean.

Mine are black. So they don't show brake dust between washings.
