Behind radio storage
I was wondering what you all thought would be good or bad items to store behind the infotainment screen?
My input would be that everything, when used repeatedly over time, will eventually fail. So I would probably not want to store something that I needed to access every time I drove the car (such as my radar detector).
Other thoughts? Good or bad.

I store my sunglasses and wallet in there as well as a few one dollar coins that I usually get when I go out hiking (for some reason the government and Las Vegas seem to be the only entities that give you change in $1 coins). And I often open the secret compartment to put my sunglasses in or out. I don't see the issue really. By your very own logic the door could fail too.

I don't keep anything in there that is critical. I am thinking along with you on that one. Sun glasses and those sort of items. If the door fails I can temporarily live without things like that.

I keep my E-Zpass in there. The readers pick it up just fine when it's on the top shelf (of the Bin Buddy).
I don't keep anything in there that needs to be accessed every time I use the car, so things like an extra pair of sunglasses, mints, pepper spray, hair clips, etc...

^^^ You mean you couldn't just say "Officer, my registration is in a compartment behind this screen and I also have my gun there, which I have a legal permit for" first?

Its also a good idea if you carry without a license (Which is legal too) you just can not conceal in public without a license.

In Arizona you don't need a permit to carry openly or concealed. Constitutional Carry.

When I took my Concealed Carry class in Kentucky, I learned that ANYONE can legally carry a gun in any concealed compartment in a vehicle.
It surprised me!

In FL you can carry a loaded gun in a car but it must be a two step process to retrieve it. Step one open the compartment step two remove it from a holster or zippered case. But a CCW is easy to get especially if you are a Vet.
