Low profile car ramps
Does anyone know if this ramp will get the front end high enough to perform an oil change? The specs say the height is 2.75"

Seems kind of low to me...
I use the race ramps RLL-78-2 HD w/ 12" high platform. They are a little pricey but I like the ease of use and light weight. I'm sure you could get away with a lower height but your comfort and maneuverability might be compromised. The picture is my old 15 Z51, my 17 Z06 needs ramp extensions to clear for stage 2 spoiler. The Mobil one container should give you a decent frame of reference for how much room you'll have to work with.

If the height is only 2.75", it wouldn't be high enough for an oil change.
On edit: As JC 2004 pointed out, Race Ramps are the way to go and is also what I use. They are not cheap but worth it in the long run...

Yeah, 2.75" will not give you a lot of room. I have Race Ramps that work very well. I was able to install a Corsa cat-back exhaust system with them, so you'll definitely have enough clearance for an oil change.

Now I have seen some great ramps made from wood if that's in your wheelhouse. Materials wouldn't be much at all. I bet someone can chime in or you can search to see some member examples. If you go race ramps fred@reverselogic is a forum member and was really good about patiently answering my numerous questions.

^^ I agree, contact Fred at Reverse Logic, he'll get you fixed up with what you need. His pricing is very competitive.

If you have a circular saw that'll cut 90° and 45° you can make a pair of ramps that work fine for some tasks. Here are mine cut from 2x12" board and a small piece from a 2x4, made in about 30 min. with my low level of woodworking expertise. Two will get one end of the car up about 3½". That's enough to get my low-profile jack and optionally the x-beam under the front of the car for more lift in the prescribed location. Don't need the ramps to use the floor jack/x-beam in the rear, although you can access much of the rear area with only the ramps. Haven't tried sliding under the front with only the ramps, like for an oil change (accessing from behind the LF wheel), but even if you're small you'll probably need more height. Disclaimer: I'm 5'10" @ 170#, so if you're waistline looks like a 55-gal. drum your mileage may vary.

Where can you buy ramps like that and how much do they cost?
It appears as though you snap 'em together, drive the car up to the top level and then remove the bottom section in order to crawl under the vehicle. Pretty nifty.

Race Ramps makes about a dozen ramp models for Reverse Logic. The RLL-78-2 model is one of the custom ramps we offer.

I made mine the same way except I used 4 pieces of 2x12's. It is high enough for me to change the oil on my 16 Z51.

I hadn't thought about a four-tier ramp, but that's a good idea. At the time I was mostly trying to get the car up enough to fit my low-profile jack and x-beam, but more tiers would negate the need for a jack for most tasks that I would do.

I used this setup to install long tube headers...drove the front up the Race Ramps then used a floor jack on each side to raise the rear. Slide the wood blocks underneath along with several jack stands...Looks hillbilly, but worked well.

Wow that was really helpful to the OP. I don't see anywhere I recommended a filter, or even oil for that matter. So I'm not sure why you felt the need to interject your thoughts into this thread but guess you're bored, lol.
