Default Credit score for a Vette?

Mine is over 700, by the end of the year i should be 750 or better, hopefully. (Paying some bills off!) What is a good acore for the best interest rates for a vette?

Depends on which score your're looking at. You need to know your Equifax beacon score. Also there are other factors other than your score that can affect your interest rate (debt/available ratio, income, etc) Best place to finance around here in my opinion is PenFed credit union. Good luck on your endeavors.

Bought a 2017 C7 last Saturday.
Credit score was 680 and got 4.3% interest.
My credit union was only able to quote me 5.9%

Save your money and then write a check. No Interest. First payment is tough but after than, sweet.

There are different versions of fico scores. The score you need to be concerned with (if using a lender that specializes in automobiles) is your "auto enhanced" fico score. 725 is usually what is needed for the best rates and 760 or above...your golden. Look at the fine print for the promo rates that car dealers advertise and they usually mention the minimum score required. Example: 1.99% at Kerbeck (small print states that among other things, 725 fico score is required).

From what I understand credit scores play a part in your insurance premium too.

2015 Z06. $68,000. No down payment required (although I payed a significant amount because I wanted a SMALL car payment). Before I told them I would put some money down, I made them do the complete amount as if I had no money in savings. Fair to low credit score 620. Both mine and my wife hover around the same. Not the best FICO score but our income to ration is VERY good. I ended up getting approved for the full amount to include tax, tag, title, etc..$71,000 @ 4% with my local bank. Ended up financing about 30 grand for the same %. I know there are plenty of neysayers but I still believe your relation with your bank still matters. Any and Every time I need something, I go in and am still counted as a human. Just my 2 cents

For me this one comes down to a single question:

Is this Corvette going to be your only car and primary transportation?

If the car isn't your only ride....... it's to justify a loan at all. A toy for sunny weather use only......is a toy. If you need a loan to acquire it........

But......I'm not your mother......so .........hey......there is a loan for everyone regardless of your credit score. If your not high enough to get the best rates available that's just another argument against the idea of buying........but Corvettes are hardly the only ill advised purchase decision people make sometimes with money they don't have.

Your score is plenty high enough to qualify for a loan. Car salesmen are highly motivated to find you a loan.......you'll get one if you want it......700 may not be enough to get those best rates but a salesman will easily find you a loan.

As long as your debt to income is lower rather than higher and your "history" is good, you'll be fine. May not be the lowest rate you can get if you waited to get up into the mid 700's and above but hell, you'll be driving sooner and the won't be horrible.

0.00% interest, 100% down, FICO score indeterminate.

I know that's not your true question, but I'd really encourage buying your cars with cash. You might not get the car of your dreams, but you sure won't get a financial nightmare!

Have a good one,
Mike

1.99% 770

Made sound financial sense to finance about $40k, since I am getting a 6%+ return on my 401K.

From what I've seen the bank could care less what car you're buying. Last I secured my financing last November, 2.24% (FICO score over 800).

820 when I bought my last Vette. As others have said your score can have a big affect on insurance costs (both car & home) getting a job and many other things. Things most outfits never mention but do use to evaluate you.

there is a 1000 ways to get a low credit score. Just because your score is low because of (insert bullshit reason and someone happened to put a bad mark on your credit can lower you from 700-620 real quick) doesn't mean you can not easily afford a vet. Its not a damn lambo. That was a close minded comment... try not to be a dick your entire life. you can take today off.
