Default Paint interior pieces

Thinking of painting the "eyebrow" that wraps around the instrument cluster. Buying a new one is just to much money. So, has anybody done this? If so, tell us how you did it (pictures would be nice.) Thanks.

I have not but have a link for a place that sells the paint. I'd be interested to hear how the paint holds up to normal use and how well it matches. I want to replace my dash hood and dash pad to kalahari but we're talking about $700 If someone wants to start a go fund me page for me

I've seen a few threads here where people painted a small piece of the leather, but nothing as big or visible as that piece. I'm in for pics if you do it!

I've been doing some researching and came across this stuff:

https://duplicolor.com/product/vinyl-and-fabric-coating

The reviews look good and there's a lot of "How to" YouTube videos. Anybody have experience with the Duplicolor stuff.

C5North..........Hummmm. You have a '17 Z06 and I have a '17 Grand Sport. I guess we know who has all the money.

Hmm, figured $320 for a perfectly matched Adrenaline Red "Upper Dash Pad" with a GM part number was cheap compared to my $60,000+ Grand Sport!

It literally took 10 minutes to make the swap. So if the dye job doesn't look good can always buy the GM part!

making a 2.5LT from a 2LT!

OP, Good luck with your endeavor. If I take on a simple project it turns into a major PIA and what can go wrong will go wrong. I would just have to bite the bullet and buy the part .

JerryU........The problem I'm running into with the GM part is it's no longer available for sale in gray. If it were, I agree, I'd just buy the GM part.

I've used the vinyl spray before on a sun visor and it worked surprisingly well. I painted it black though and it doesn't sit right in front of my face. If you can't replace it though, I dunno, that would make me think twice about it. This isn't the best picture but this visor was white:

They are still making that part in grey, they have just changed the part number. Call your favorite GM Warehouse and give them part # 23164483 and they should be able to find the new part #.

Trunkmonkey has them on the web site plus the best price if you call Rick during working hours. Robert
