My Grand Sport is only 4 days old.
I have the glasscoat ceramic
I would like to find black lug nuts and wheel locks (open to suggestions)
I have 30% Tint scheduled for install next week
Looking to do a Borla X-pipe in the next few weeks
Wish list (I can't justify the cost) is the Akrapovič exhaust only because I have that brand on 2 of my sportbikes and its the #1 exhaust on the bikes. The carbon fiber tips looks almost as good as it sounds!

I have a AB 2017 2LT GS with M7. I plan on doing some track days with it:

DSC Sport magnetic shock controller
Motul high-temp brake fluid
Track pads
Wickerbill extensions

Can't think of anything else.

Here's the link to the reasoning why you shouldn't use a catch can

FWIW, installed black lug nuts from McGard, part number 64015. Jegs has for $15/4. I also installed matching black locks. Lasted 5 years and looked new when I sold my C6. Same part # for a C7. McGard is what Chevy sells for a lock under their part number for more $s!

Re catch cans. A bit contaversial. Those that added, as I did an Elite in my 2014 Z51, feel collecting an once or more/1000 miles of oil and "stuff" and discarding is better than having that bake on the intake valves!

Yep Tadge says some coking is acceptable, to me that is like saying some fingerprints are fine, stop worrying! Some of use think a carbon build-up on the valves is not what we want. GM has no magic way to stop it in the Vette DI engine. Until GM uses the Toyota and now the new Ford GT engine approach of adding port injection operated periodically (to wash PCV stuff away) with DI, I'll continue to use one. Perhaps they will develop an alternative method but my new Grand Sport still has a hose going from the PCV valve to the intake manifold. There engine blowby etc is sill going over the hot intake valves. Took the Elite Can off of my 2014 Z51 and will install on my Grand Sport.

IMO if installed properly and emptied often so the can doesn't ever fill, it will cause no problems. I use only one can exit so it just replaces the PCV hose. No need for a check valve (that could add a small flow restriction) as required if you use the two exit can. Then a check valve must be installed only in that second exit line so air flow cannot occur from the air intake tube, to the can directly to the intake manifold therefore bypassing the crackcase and reducing blowby collection! Tadge does mention if you take oil out 9and don't replace it) over time you could have low oil pressure. Sure if you take oil out and don't check the oil level and let it get under the min mark, that could happen. Suggest no one should install a catch can if they don't understand what it is doing and how to check oil levels!

Since I did not drill a hole in the intake tube it was easy to convert back to stock when I sold the 2014 Z51. IMO if not operating at a sustained 3/4+ throttle The single exit can is all that is needed. Your car your choice.

Not a GS but might help with ideas.

Last year I tried touch up paint but it didn't last. This week I used a two part epoxy resin with the same touch up paint as a coloring agent. Looks great to me. Car is Long Beach Red.

Beautiful GS!!
Question for you...I came across these small plastic rivets in addition to screws securing the (base/standard) front splitter. I would like to upgrade to the Stage 2 front splitter. What did you do to install? Remove and trash the plastic rivets just use the screws, replace them entirely or are they salvageable? Any help/advice greatly appreciated!

My old stage 1 splitter was installed with bolts and rivets. Drilled out old rivets and added new rivets with old bolts. Bolts on back row and rivets in front just like GM did.I hope this helps. I have bolts if you want to go all bolts. PM me your address I will mail you them. Good luck.

I agree you've checked all the boxes .Do pay attention to setup the rear caster angle is critical set it at .75 degree positive use our track setting for the Z06 it's bang on . Set tire pressure and go .
Have Fun
