Default Novistretch mirror covers

I bought the Novistretch front bra and mirror covers.

Is it me or are the mirror covers a real PITA? You are supposed to tuck the edges in around the mirror glass and I find this to be very difficult and very time consuming.

The ones for the C7 are a different material than the ones I had on my C5 which were very easy to install.

Anyone have a picture and/or advice for installation?

It's not you....I have the same thing. They are a PITA to get on-I've almost given up on them.

Yes they are a pain but with practice it does get easier. Use a credit card to push the netting under the mirror. Also if you start with the mirror fully rotated up, it makes it simple to push the netting under the mirror at the bottom. Then just keep moving the mirror to open the gap up....I have it down to just a couple of minutes for each mirror. Good luck

I tried to put them on, once.
Put them back in the box and tossed it in my tool box.

Yup, that's the way to do it. I wax the mirrors first.

Second set, second vette...use one of those thin plastic discount cards usually stuck to a page in a magazine makes a perfect ARC to tuck around the mirror...indeed practice makes it easier...

I was ready to burn the mirror covers but I found the best and easiest way to install them. You go to your mirror control and turn the mirror out, driver's side, so the mirror nearest the door is out as far as possible. This leaves a large space between the mirror and the mirror closure. Then put the cover on from that end and stretch it over the rest of the mirror toward the out side of the mirror. Then go back to the control and slowly close the mirror. I used a plastic comb to guide the rest of the cover inside the mirror opening wedged between the mirror and enclosure, and gradually close the mirror itself until it's in the proper viewing position. Then repeat the process on the other mirror, the passenger side. I know it's hard to explain but it's the easiest way to install them. Good luck!

Had to laugh. Reminded me of my brother who has the patience of a knat. It took me 3 tries but once I got the hang of it I've put them on and off several times.

Gave up on them. One time I tried to get them off when washing the car. They got stuck inside the mirror housing had a rough time getting it out without damaging the inside of the mirror. Not a good product.
