Those with XPEL, what to you use to wash and wax the XPEL and non XPEL surfaces with. I have a 17 GS "Full Wrap Conv., but the trunk lid is not done; which I believe is standard. Thanks

My guy recommended using Chemical Bros EcoSmart RU as a waterless wash and Reload silicon spray sealant on the Xpel, so I have been following his guidance. You may want to check with your installer as well


I'm going to try some Rejex on the nose for bug protection.

I wash with Meguire's Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner. I use their Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere for quick touch-up detailing. I wax with NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. I bought the cleaner XPEL sells, but I don't care for the film it seems to leave behind.

My Xpel installer said believe it or not isopropyl alchol works well on tough stuff like sap etc. I personally like WD-40 for hard goo removal.

I'm super impressed at how this XPEL protects. I never sweat stuff geting on it. I'm especially greatful when lovebug season hits!

My installer said the same thing. 91% Alcohol for the tough stuff, just put something on it afterwards.

And me too, when I'm going after the bugs I don't feel really bad giving it a good rub to get it off. I wouldn't be as rough I think on the paint. I am still going to give Rejex a try on the front which is a huge bug magnet and they can be tough to get off. Hoping it makes it a little easier.

Nothing but a 1650 PSI power washer to blow off the dust. Car and wheels are ceramic coated and XPELed. If I have to, I'll use my never-ending jug of Adams car shampoo.

I bought the system Xpel sells. They make a cleaner and a wax. For their product. Cleaner to be used only on heavy soils. I find wax to be Ok.

Hello Michael,

We make our own products to compliment the film for washing, waxing, and cleaning.

If you are going to use another companies products, please verify the MSDS sheet of that specific product that it does not contain high amounts of petroleum distillates such as naphtha and/or kerosene. As these chemicals can cause issues with the film.

The benefit with our sealant/wax is that you can use it on your paint and your film. The cleaner is designed for stubborn stains, grime, road tar etc. Most times a high percentage isopropyl alcohol will work just fine.

We would not recommend this product. The BG has 30-35% Petroleum Distillates and 15-20% Naphtha. So it could potentially harm paint protection film

I've been trying to search for Adam's Polishes H2O Guard and Gloss, but can't seem to find the MSDS for it or other products they make. I signed up for an account with a MSDS online site, but didn't do me any good.

Any chance you can find this? I just did my first car wash after my Xpel install and was looking at using the H2O Guard and Gloss since I still have some, otherwise I will order official Xpel products.

My whole car is also wrapped with Xpel and I just use a car wash soap and every few months, wax it with the wax Xpel sells. Rejex also works fine as well.

I spoke with Adam's when I was looking for what to use on Xpel and they recommended Ceramic Boost or Detail Spray. I went with the Ceramic Boost and was pleased with the results. It was easy to wipe on & off.

Thank you for wrapping your whole car, we certainly appreciate the shout out! Although, we would suggest not using RejeX, as it has a high amount (20-30%) of distillates and Petroleum. The higher the amount, the more chance there is for degradation of the film.

When I had XPEL applied to my Mini, the installer clued me into these two products - cleaner and sealant. I tried them on the 3M clear bra on my C7 and they work on that as well.
