Mine had that recessed line but not as deep when I first got my car, now a year later it's not there. I would show it to the dealer so it's documented and see if it's goes away after some time. How old is the car, has it seen much sun?

I bought the car new about a month ago (10/16 build date.). I, too, thought it would work itself out by letting it sit in the sun, but it hasn't improved.
The support that attaches the top to the crossmember runs the length of the indent. It's like the support is to short and pulling the top down onto the crossbar.

Time to take it back to the dealership . .

That is absolutely not normal! I've never seen any sort of indentation there.

No sir, not normal. If they replace the top most dealers outsource that job to a local upholstery shop. My dealer did that for my C6 top. Good luck.

Thanks everybody for confirming my suspicions. Went to the dealer and looked at a convertible they had on the lot - no indent. The service advisor thinks the center rail is bent like something was dropped on it. He's going to forward the pictures to GM.

That's why I bought extended warranty out to 7 years. I cycle my DD top at least 4 up/down cycles a day, so pretty sure something will wear out & break before the 7 years...
