Hey 2cnd Chance,
I have a 2017 Z06 with about 4200 miles total since April, about 1000 track miles on the Cup 2's I would guess, the other miles are on Michelin Super Sport tires that have tread. A couple of road trips to Boise and Pahrump from SLC on the latter, and a few runs up the canyon for the $100 hamburger.
Just replaced the front Cups. Another track day tomorrow and will likely replace the rears.
I don't see the point of running Cups on the street. They ride rough and you can't (or shouldn't) be getting them up to temps where they work, on the street.
If you are getting Cup 2's up to temp on the street..........its been nice meeting you.

Non-Corvette but a co-worker of mine has 3000 on his GT350R. He estimates he will get 5000 miles out of them based on the current wear speed. I'd say this is a "normal" amount.
Tldr, 5000 is what you should get.

The only thing I don't like about cups on the street are they are prone to get flats. I have had I replaced due to a bolt puncture and now I have a slow leak. Never had that issue with regular tires. This is all within 4k miles.
It looks like I will get 8-10 out of these.

Really 8-10 is all I should expect?
I have about 2700 mile on them now have to believe a set of tires should only last about average one years mileage this sucks. Does anyone make a replacement that fits? I would like to know I have options when these are shot!

I have 12k miles of hard driving on my Cup 2's. No road course visits, 2 strip days with 3 passes each. I will say that they'll be completely shot by 13k though.

Newtonian Physics.
Tracks usually have "well laid" patches of rubber in corners from the continued wear of tires. This makes them "extra grippy" and can cause tires to wear faster (it also allows you to take the corner faster because you have more friction before the tires break free).
This phenomenon is increased if the track the day before was used by motocross bikes as they lay down SIGNIFICANT amounts of rubber in corners.

I'll ask jimman to chime in. He has like 80K on his Z06, he changed the alignment and gets lots and lots of miles on those tires

I currently have about 12.5k and there is good rubber left. Several more thousand miles. My only real problem with the Cup2 tires is getting an inspection at the dealer. I had to resort to an independant shop that specializes in sports and track cars to get a Texas inspection. The know it all inspector at the dealer ship refused to do so with 4 32nds of tread. NO ONE, not even the service manager would even speak to the inspector about his arrogance or ignorance of the OEM tires. Classic Chevy told me to get my hot rod out of their service drive. Bet you can guess where I will do business in the future.

I think more like 6-8 is where you will end up at unless you nanny around everywhere - 5800 and mine were toast. I have not seen a z06 hit 10 or even 8k - so those that did obviously drive different then me I switched to super sports and wish I hadn't - it is a noticeable difference in a bad way. Gets loose WAY sooner. Depends on how you drive I suppose.
