Default Anyone taken THIS piece off?? Center Console

I would love a little feedback before I just jump in to this project. Where to start!! Do I just start prying away??? And are the "doors " easy to swap?? My luck I'll break somethi g important. Thanks for any help.

Follow the instructions in:

THIS THREAD from Theta

...until you're at that cover. MANY have taken that part off. I think I've personally had it off 5 times on my own car by now for various installs/taps etc...

Just be careful to disconnect the three wiring connectors before you try to lift the console completely out.

MGW shifters has a really good video too. Once you get it off, it's all just torx screws holding those parts on. Just be careful when you unscrew the cup holder cover because that spring will go flying if you don't keep it in check. It's not a terribly difficult job.

Why would you have to remove the cup holder cover just to remove the console? I have had mine off several times including to install shifter and never had to mess with the cup holder.

Oh, I see now that they do not supply matching doors. Bummer.
