Grand Sport Collector's Edition license plate frame?
I have been looking for a bit to try to find a license plate frame that is Tension Blue with either Corvette or Grand Sport written in Gray or something to the like. If not, any suggestions?

I am on a similar quest, but slightly different. I can tell you that I have been that lucky so far. I have found a billet frame place that will custom engrave and they have black or gray frames with a blue that is pretty darn close for the letters. But the frame itself is not a painted frame.
I'm actually looking to find a place that will custom engrave and do a painted frame with epoxy filled or painted letters. Wanting a Watkins Glen frame color with blue letters.
I have a few inquiries in and will post back if I find anything, likewise I'm guessing you or others will....

Here is one that I am thinking of. Its not the right blue but it isn't enough to really make a difference. Its kind of cool

I'm reaching out to a couple local pin-striping folks to see if they want to take on painting the one I have. I'm not unhappy with the custom engraved frame that I already received, just want the finish to be better and I am not capable of doing that. Hopefully a pin-striper will be a reasonable way to get the finish I want.

I was thinking of something like that. I really like the design of this one...

And was thinking if I could find someone to put some tension blue highlights on there some how.

Yea, a pinstriper is probably the right option on that.
This is what I have so far, but I am debating getting a different engraving on it (minor change). Then have it painted WGG with the letters in blue.
Essentially a replacement of the Museum frame I have with some GSCE personalization on it.

Yeah, that is nice. I bet carbon flash color wouldn't look bad either. That way it doesn't blend in. Then have the blue colors. (just throwing ideas out there) Very nice though!

I was debating on the colors. Carbon Flash, which is what that area is painted. That would make the frame blend in and maybe the letters pop. Or paint it the car color, Watkins Glen Gray, which could give it a little more contrast and highlight the car color.
I'm leaning towards WGG....figuring if I'm going to spend the money to paint it then maybe I don't want it just blending in :-)

Oh yeah, crap. Looks like I am going to have someone paint that WGG then. I don't know why but I though the paint went down to the plate. I guess I need to look at the rear more often

:-)
And trust me when I say painting the frame while trying to keep the engraved area blue is not easy :-) I tried a few techniques and didn't have much success. Vaseline seemed to work the best, but getting it off the other areas without impacting what you're trying to mask was challenging.
Silly Putty is one I did not try that might have been good. But at this point I've invested too much time in it and I'd just like to find someone to paint it for me :-)

OK, so I checked with a couple local pin stripe folks, they won't spray the frame but they are game to do the letters, probably $30-50.
So I'm ordering the new frame, will look close to the picture, except the top line I'm having them do #43 instead of #0043 and they are going to see if they can completely spell out GRAND SPORT COLLECTOR EDITION instead of GSCE.
Getting it in a raw aluminum, and then I'm going to spray it the WGG color. Once I have that done, I'll take it to the pin stripe place for the letters and when that is done I'll clear coat it.
A bit of work, but hopefully should come out nice :-)

Here's the mock-up of the way I'm ordering it. Hopefully will have it within the next two weeks so I can get it all painted up.

BTW, still progressing on this.
I received the new version of the frame a week ago, a picture of it is below in it's raw aluminum state.
Since then I have put on some primer coats and Watkins Gray Metallic. I dropped it off at a pinstripe shop earlier today. They are using a color called Process Blue, close enough (no other blue is near it so no one will know).
Once I get it back I'll clear coat and post final pics. So far I'm happy with it :-)

That's all the blue needs to be is "close"....there's no other blue on the back of the car, so the eye won't be able to tell the difference. Looking forward to seeing the finished product
