Girls don't wave
When I start waving, I probably don't even know you're a woman. I'm not trying to make a move on you, I'm just waving 'cuz you're driving the same type of car as I. Please respond to this innocent and benign gesture.

If you wave with you wallet in your hand they will wave back.

I wave when I see another Corvette that could probably see me. If they wave back or not, I'm fine with it. I couldn't possibly tell you what the breakdown of wavers vs. non-wavers, C4s vs. C7s is. Who cares?

IDK about that.
Granted, the majority of Cx drivers I see are male, but the relatively few women drivers I see do wave.
One afternoon I did the wave to a White C7 as I was turning into a parking lot. Opposite sides of a 4 lane divided road, but ya know how that goes.
Couple minutes later, a white C7 rolled into the parking lot - female driver, apologizing for not waving....said she wanted to make sure I didn't think she ignored the wave....

No, I think that women are just a bit more cautious when engaging strangers. Considering this world we live in I can understand. Also, keep in mind first time Vette owners (yup, like me) may not know about the wave. I sure didn't, so for the first month I guess I was the "d-bag" in the C7. No worries, I've made amends!

Balderdash! "Girl" here. I have two vettes - a C7 Z51, and a C3 L46, both manual! I wave vigorously at every vette I see. 90+ percent of drivers wave back, men and women. I do believe the ones that don't, don't see my vette, or me waving because their mind is elsewhere.

When I see a C7, I wave, sometimes I get a wave back, sometimes no. Older editions, like C6 and C5 tend to get a good wave back. I think with the C7, you're dealing with some folks who are into it, like those on this forum, and those who leased a C7 or turn over their cars frequently and thought it would be cool to own a Vette instead of a Lexus or Mercedes. They're not really into the full sports car/Corvette experience and don't know why others are waving to them.
IMHO, women driving older versions tend to waive just as much as men. Not so much with the C7.

I think it's a personality thing too. When I'm riding my Harley, I wave at other riders (all makes/models). Sometimes I don't get a wave back. Perhaps they're not very friendly. I dunno.
