iPhone runs hot with CarPlay
I use Carplay daily on my 40 min. commute with Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, and Maps running so I can toggle between them. iPhone is cabled in the console. When I arrive at my office the phone is hot. Anyone else experience this or have thoughts?

The console gets hot so anything in the console will get hot. Have you tried putting it in the cubby behind the screen?

On a daily run to work with no Waze? Cant see why you need navigation or the other stuff on car play. Use a magic mount so your phone gets airflow. In the console or cubby? Not.
