Default GM Extended Warranty-Is this the right one?

I'm looking at an application/contract that the dealer who gave it to me says is for the official GM extended warranty. The title doesn't actually say GM, it shows the Chevy bow tie symbol and says "Protection Plan." It also says the contract administrator is AMT Warranty Corp. in Bedford, Texas.

Is this the official GMEPP plan?
Has anyone had experience getting repairs under the plan or experience with AMT Warranty Corp.?

Yes, that is a GMEPP plan. My paperwork is the same.

However, you deal directly w/ the GM dealer service department, not whomever the extended warranty administrator may be. The major advantage of GMEPP is that it's seamless like the B2B warranty. Your dealer service dept. will handle the approvals and paperwork.

You don't have to buy it through your selling dealer. Go through our Forum vendor Dennis Fichtner ( dfichtner@dennymenholt.com ) instead of your dealer -- same exact official GM warranty, but you'll likely save hundreds of dollars.

I and many other forum members are VERY satisfied customers of Dennis and his great pricing on the GMEPP/Chevrolet Protection Plan for our Corvettes!

See post #5 and contact Dennis Fichtner. Cost depends upon the duration of extended warranty you want to purchase and whether it's deductible or not.

I doubt you'll find anyone who will beat his price as the vast majority of CF members have found for more than a decade. Most dealers charge a lot more for the same plan.

Is it ever too late to get this extended warrany from Dennis? My 2014 Z51 ran out of warranty a few months ago but no issues and has been inspected and cleared no issues so was curious.

Call him NOW. You don't have much time if there is any left. I think you're out of luck, but email delays won't help you. The extended GMEPP is available 3yr from the in-service date (99% sure that means from the date of the first sale). Past that, I think you're SOL.

I got your Email. Just out of curiosity I called the dealership I purchased from. They said they use Allied Premier Protection plan. Which just adds to my confusion. Which Dealership are you working out of? I'm in TN. And would your warranty be honored at my dealership?
I plan to make a follow up call to my dealership tomorrow. Just to be sure I don't have my signals crossed.

^^^ Don’t be misled by your local dealer, StingrayMyWay.

Many GM dealers offer 3rd party warranties in addition to the genuine GM warranty, and some will even claim that the 3rd party warranty they use is somehow “better” than the real GM one (typically because they are more profitable to sell). Don’t fall for it – 3rd party warranty companies come and go like summer breezes, regardless of their “reinsured by a AAA rated company” claims.

Dennis Fichtner is a real GM dealer and sells THE genuine GM warranty, and thus that GM warranty is honored by *any* GM dealer.

In response to Stingraymyway, yes the old GMPP is still available and sold by some dealers but it is now called Ally Premier and is the old Majorguard formerly offered as GMPP. The policy I handle is formerly called GMEPP which led to much confusion, GMEPP, GMPP what is what. It has now been changed to Chevrolet Protection Plan-for Chevrolets, Buick Protection Plan-for Buicks, Cadillac Protection Plan-for Cadillacs and GMC Protection Plan for GMC Trucks. If you take your vehicle to a GM store they better honor a product that has GM Backing. It is the only warranty entered into the GM system(just like the old GMPP was) because the Ally Premier plan is now considered by GM a third party warranty just like Fidelity, Zurich, CNA, Etc.
As to which dealership I am associated with it was right in my cover letter I send with every email Denny Menholt Chevrolet in Billings, Mt. I have been serving the Corvette Forum since about 2000 and have built what I feel to be a great following. I receive upwards of 125-150 emails daily and my response time for that many I fell is outstanding. I have some customers ask me what took so long since it was about 5 minutes to get a response back. Hopefully this helps with other customers questions.

Just purchased one from Dennis for my Dad. Never spoke to him before but knew
that he was highly recommended by CF members.

Simple phone call with a few questions on my part and he actually called back to clarify things.
His type of customer service is rare but appreciated. The discounted price sealed the deal for me!

Stay safe this weekend and enjoy the Fourth
