Link works better without the period.
If I understood correctly, there was a noise under the hood and then the dashboard light said "suspension system".
I'd say it's totaled. I doubt we'll ever know what caused the fire.

This was probably the message he saw:
That only applies to cars with MSRC. Best guess so far is shock unit failed and blew fluid on the hot exhaust manifold. That would account for the noise, the message, and the fire.
