Unlike Mustangs and other sports cars, you need to be wary of driving closely behind the lifted trucks/SUVs, etc. They easily clear road kill or debris that will take out the front end of a Corvette.

If you look at what it takes to get a license to drive, you'll know why you see so many terrible drivers. Add in talking, texting and checking social media along with driving and you have a mess. As someone else mentioned early is the key. Usually on nice Sunday morning while the faithful are on their knees, I'm on the gas. Perfect time.

There are days that the best thing to do is simply go home and park your car. The Corvette attracts these idiots like flies and even when you're out on a casual cruise, you're a magnet. I've come to expect the extracurricular actives from the Mustang crowd, but lately it's been the lifted truck crowd that have been the most aggressive.

Between Amazon, eBay and Rock Auto I can't see any need to go in a Wal-Mart. I try to stay away as they have ruined many a good town.

And those you've mentioned have put any number of small mom and pop businesses out of business too.
