Default C7 2LT fair price

Hi all new member here and first time (almost) owner of a C7. I have done a lot of research on prices on a C7. I found one that I like, ballpark fair price is 59,000-64,000 per internet sites I been to, MSRP is 66,620 the dealer made a kind of offer of 60,800 w/o all extras. (I know about ALL the fees). With a little help from you all, does this sound like a fair price? I know dealers should only make 3-5% on sale.

Thank you all for your advice

I think most dealers are doing about 10% off on new '17 Corvettes. Larger volume Corvette dealers are doing a little more. I think $60,000 is doable for that car.

Kerbeck has a 2LT on their red tag sale for $52K right now. It's gray.

Why do you think a dealer should only make 3-5%?

That percentage came from the research I did, I know prices very from state to state, A Fair price is all what I am looking for, and the Dealer makes their share and everybody is happy.

Why even worry what the dealer is making? Just shop for the combination of best price and service. I bet you would be offended if someone told you how much you should make.
OK, rant over. Besides I doubt there are more than 2 people at the dealership who even know the bottom dollar they paid for a car.

The big three are doing 12 to 15% off MSRP. If you add the car shipping cost to your home, that should be your starting point with the local dealer.

I've been told that a "good deal" is one where everyone walks away satisfied. If the one you're looking at is the car you've always wanted then I think you looking at a fair deal. If not, look at our forum dealers, Criswell, Coughlin, Kerbeck, etc. They all are very professional dealers, and can make the process painless. These dealers have a ton of experience at selling out of state. They may be able to make the deal, and ship the car cheaper than you can buy from your local dealer. Good luck on your decision.

I never worry about a dealer being happy with the sale-they will not sell a car unless they are happy with the sale. You just don't want them to be very happy or estatic about the sale.

Check the inventory of one of the forum dealers as these are the best deals out there.

Sweet, any price the buyer is happy with is a good price.
