Fixing scratches in CFV side skirts
Hi all,
When I picked up my 2017 GS with the CFV aero, one of the side skirts had a big scratch on the top of it, almost like a huge piece of debris had been kicked up by the wheel well and struck the skirt at a very oblique angle.
I've since installed the ACS splash guards but would like to get the scratch fixed. The actual carbon is fine, it's just a deep surface scratch.
Is this as simple as having my body shop respray the top clearcoat, or is this some sort of special topcoat to prevent UV damage, etc?
I will also be getting the skirts wrapped with Xpel to prevent this in the future (and add protection from careless passengers kicking it during ingress & egress).
