Race Ramps (for C7 oil changes)
Hey folks!!
I have seen a few comments & postings regarding ramps suitable for oil changes on late model Corvettes. On the Amazon.com web page, they have several styles - with more than a few from "Race Ramps."
They vary widely in price, but they are not cheap. Is one variety any better than the other? Do they all have the right clearance to be able to drive the front wheels up on it safety and also allow room for a decent-size person to access the oil filter, drain plug and what not?
One style that was "two-piece" looked neat, but they said "ships in 1 or 2 months" on the bottom of the description.
What ones will work for easily doing oil changes with a C7 Stingray?
Thank you!!

Corvette forums has a vendor for this item. I bought mine before I knew this. I bought mine on eBay. Listed as Camaro and Corvette ramps. Worked great for oil change on my 1999 Camaro. Expensive but worth it. These store easy and are light weight. I lean the big piece against the wall then I put the slender part on top of it locked in just like I was using on the ground. I also have the extenders and put that on top of the other two leaning against the wall also. My Camaro has front ground effects so the extender was needed.

You can use the service ramp calculator at www.reverselogic.us/race-ramps to estimate the inch-by-inch car-to-ramp clearance for your car over a range of Race Ramps service ramps.
Several of the two-stage incline ramp models, RR-72-2, RLL-80-2, RLL-87-2, have the equivalent of integrated XTenders for low ground clearance cars.
