C7 Collectors Edition Powder Coated Calipers
C7 Collectors Edition Powder Coated Calipers
I was recently contacted by owner Ken Pauley regarding offering a "caliper exchange" program for the C7 CE to either match the stripes or interior. In order for me to purchase a set of cores I will need to make sure there is enough demand to have calipers done since the cores are VERY expensive. If you are interested in having your's done please let me know. The cost is $599 a set with a $1200 core charge.

Thanks Mike! I've added a picture of a Philip Eames' car, he had his done in Playboy Blue with the black Corvette letters.
There were two people committed so far, in this order.
I'll circulate this link.

The calipers on a gray car look incredible even w/o the matching hash and interior. Complements WGG very well.
Can you do the Stingray calipers or only the GS/Z06 ?

Mike, can you confirm that the price includes putting the Corvette word back on the caliper (decal) and it would be good to confirm with the folks doing it the color that they want to use. Most have seen pictures of the Playboy Blue ones and I'm thinking will want that color based on the photos and I want to be sure that is a color you can offer. Might be good to suggest to the people involved that they request color samples from the vendor, especially the ones that are not first in line as they will have time to receive them. The two colors are (and where you can request samples):

I still think these should have come from the factory this way. It's good to see one of our Vendors picking up GM's slack!

I'm interested in this, but curious on the brake bleeding procedure once they're swapped out. I know on my C5 and C6 when I did them I had to use a Tech 2 to do the brake bleeding procedure to activate the ABS system.
Will a trip to the dealer be necessary after this swap out?

Yes the Corvette logo will be put back onto the calipers... here is what we did for a set in yellow.

Fall is usually the busiest time for caliper swap as every one wants to do them while their cars are put away...

Since you're offering this for the CE, can you do any color on any Carbon brakes car? I'm looking for a match to Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic.

Also, While I had my calipers off for 3 weeks I used Banjo Plugs to stop the brake fluid from leaking (about 5 bucks from AutoZone).
If anyone plans to do this on there own, I be more than glad to walk you though the process.
