Be genuine. Is there a theory why only 5% experience the problem?

There was a poll taken on this forum at one time and that was what the percentage was from the participants. It was actually about 3% so I deducted that some that had problems and didn't respond could push that up a little. Unscientific on my part and anecdotal, but the poll had quite a good response in the amount of participants. Most issues were with the 2015 group and decreased each model year. Here is the link for results:

All in all with the amount of owners participating it was clear the majority that had no issues. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

No problem. Have a look at the poll results.

Fair enough.

IMHO, this data has gone a bit stale and I am dubious of any extrapolations made from the Forum C7 data set (in isolation).
I'm glad the Forum C7 data set exists, but we now know that (at best) it only represents approximately one 11th of the entire picture (for GM).
It's no longer just about the C7, there are ten other cars on the list that have the A8. So..

I'm also concerned about the long term affects of all that shuddering and vibrating on other components and systems of the car. (e.g. transmission mounts etc..)

If I would have know about A8 issues I would have gone with the manual. When I bought mine it hadn't yet reared its ugly head. I guess I have been lucky so far with 82,000 miles on mine.

I have attached the latest bulletin from GM, it is dated 10/11/2018. Half way down the first page it states they will release a new procedure in 1st quarter of 2019 and do NOT replace any parts at this time or the dealer may be charged for them. It does seem to say that a second flush might be needed, I will see what my dealer says.
Anyone have any thoughts or insight as to whether this "new procedure" will be a software update, new fluid, hardware, etc?

I asked my service advisor that exact question and he said he was taking a educated guess and it seems to make sense. He said when GM states a fix is coming out in a few months, in the past, it is because GM is trying to build up inventory so when they announce the fix they will have the new item in stock and ready to go. He seems to think they will come out with a new torque convertor to solve the problem. They have done the fluid replacement one time in my car and it did NOT solve the problem. It did make it a little better but now I have put about 1,000 miles on it and it is almost as bad as before they did the flush.

My 2016 z51 started acting up this weekend. Been using the Range device since 4-5k miles and now at 12500 noticed some jerking. Took Range out and is terrible once v4 mode enables. Looks like its back to the dealer possibly, or just live with it for a few more months. Trading it next year at some point anyway.

Did you try putting it into M and using the paddle shifters? Did it make any difference?

I didn't try it yet with the paddles. Even with the Range plugged in you can tell it jerks on accelleration. Allowing it into v4 mode without Range it is pretty bad. Ill give the paddles a shot and see how it works on slight speed up. Guess i'll call the dealership and see if they even have a clue about this situation in my area.

When I talked to my selling dealer (bought my 2016 Z51 with 19K miles last January) they acted dumb at first-didn’t acknowledge there was a problem until I mentioned I had read about it on this Forum. Service writer next to the guy I was talking to then talked to me about the procedure - first flush, then convertor if necessary.
Ended up having the flush done at dealer 3 miles from the house. They were up front right away, explained the procedure, and so far have not had any shudder/vibration since it was done 4 months ago.
Dont have the Range device (yet) and a little concerned you are having the problem even with the Range in yours.

Ya, it's gotta be some design flaw somewhere down the line. Before the range I kept it in manual mode as I have borla X pipe and the mild to wild. It just sounded terrible switching back and forth into eco mode. If/when I trade for a Z06 I'll prolly go back with the manual to avoid the issues. Almost got that anyway but tried the auto. We see how that turned out. lol

Took my 16 z51 3lt in yesterday for shuddering. Had the triple flush done. Fingers crossed that fixes it.

Picked my '16 Z51 up from the flush last night. Problem is just as bad as before the flush, as i knew new fluid rarely fixes anything. Guess I'm gonna call them back today and see what the next step will be.

I also have the same problem, dealer flushed mine about a month ago and the problem is just as bad as before. They do say to put a few hundred miles on the car after the fluid change to see if the problem is resolved. GM will release a new procedure to fix the problem early next year so I guess I just wait until then and see what they say. No one is 100% sure what the new procedure will be but my money is on a new style torque convertor, time will tell.........
