I've been using PTM wet as well - when I remember to change it at start up.
The combination of settings seems just about perfect.
Also just played with gauge themes and will be driving around today in all different modes to see which I like best. Set it to change based on drive mode.
So much stuff to learn.

I keep in Tour mode for normal driving, ECO for morning commute ( to enjoy those 24/26 mpg), Sport for the weekend.
Exhaust mode is always on Track besides in the morning when I drive very early in the neighborhood when I put on stealth.
Steering mode is a big question mark, I like to switch often but I have not decided what I like the most.

For MSRC purposes alone, I use Tour on crappy roads, which we have plenty of in my area. Sport on smooth pavement.

I also use Track-PTM/Wet frequently as well, but that also puts MSRC in Tour mode.

We call it Wife Mode. The kids prefer sport.

What if you want the car to be calm like a scared kitty cat like in eco or weather mode but the loudest exhaust tone ALL the time. How do we do that?

Why? I use it for poor road conditions. Track-PTM/Dry does essentially the same thing, but puts it in Sport mode.

Ok didn't realize you use PTM Dry as well. Our roads are pretty good here so I never use PTM Wet.

Drive in eco or weather and have the exhaust set to track. It doesn't have to be linked.

Does it still give you that nice loud rumble even with a stock exhaust on the z06?

Again, that was simplistic guidance from Spring Mt and only true with some cars in certain Track modes. Some Track modes (Track-PTM/Wet) put the MSRC in the softest Tour setting. Others (Track-PTM/Dry) put MSRC in Sport.

Thus you CAN'T damage a wheel in the Track PTM modes above any more than using regular Tour and Sport modes in a Z51 and above car equipped w/ MSRC, eDIFF, and PTM.

However, if you have a base car with MSRC and without PTM, yes the Spring Mt. statement would be true. On the other hand, a base car without MSRC doesn't change the suspension when switched to Track or any other mode. A non-MSRC car has the same suspension (basically a soft version of Tour mode) 100% of the time.

Had the GS at the road course track today for the first time. 2 sessions wet. Stock Super Sports. 2 sessions dry. Hoosier A7's 315/30/18 F and 345/35/18 R. In both cases had to drive with settings in Track and Race.

Brakes were smoked after 3 laps in the wet first session in Track and Sport 1. It felt like the car was fighting me the entire time.

Pulled in and changed to Track-Race and it got better. The differential still acts like a nanny in that mode.

There were 56 cars on track. NJMP Lightning. In the dry I turned a 1:12.3 lap in that traffic with optimal showing a 1:11.07.

I wish they made these things without nannies but even so I enjoyed driving the car very much. 2 more days to go.

According to the Track PTM chart below, DSC is off, but TC is listed as "Race" whatever that means. It seems to suggest there is some level of intervention, but it's very minimal.

I just don't think so. There was something very real happening in the rain. Some sort of assistance. Faint and only if the car was drift car style sideways but definitely there.

Elsd is absolutely a nannie in the dry and works brilliantly. You can just roll on power with the car sliding and the diff just figures it out. First time I had experienced that.

Windshield cracked from the chassis twisting and suspension loading I have to assume. My students C7Z51 cracked as well.

I just can not get over though how well the car rides on the street in Tour yet is still so capable at the track. Just blows my mind. What a great car.

Yes, it's amazing how you can give it power, let it slide with the pedal still down, and the car figures out how to save you. I LOVE this ability. In my '87 Mustang GT, I would have nailed something for sure if I tried that lol.

This car blows my mind too how well they put it. I just can't imagine how the C8 could be better, but it will be for sure

What I did learn at Spring Mountain and need to unlearn is not to listen to advice like "Make sure you are in Track Mode and never take the nannies off!"

I don't experience this at all: "Rev Matching in traffic is not necessarily a good thing w/ M7, you are slowing down, but rev matches boosts RPM, so when you let out the clutch, the car wants to leap forward - not good in rush hour."
