Same situation I am in with my C7 Z06 but I will not be buying a second one. Great Corvette you have to stay with.

Rhetorically, every car just given up is your last car. My last car was a Challenger, and when I get my next car, the Corvette I have now will become my "last Corvette".

but if one of your situations arises or if in a few years a new generation Corvette is designed and built that is absolutely stupefying and you simply must have, what color do you think you'd want?

Safety Car
I'm 66, and have owned a plethora of Corvettes and this C7 is my final one. I have been truly blessed to be able to afford a lot of cars over the years, BUT NONE OF THEM NEW.
My C7 is my first NEW car in 30 years. My last new car was a 1986 Pontiac STE 6000 which the exwife got in the divorce settlement.
Since then I have always purchased used and some abused Corvettes and have learned my lessons the hard way with C2 purchases and even a C5.
But all in all it's been an awesome ride and even though my brand new C7 GS still sits at the dealership awaiting the side skirts to be shipped from BG and installed, I at least will finally know the true history of a car as the story will be written as I drive.
It will be nice to drive pretty much worry free for the next 3 years.

I agree Dave, your Torch red Z06 would make me call it quits too.
I've got a 2016 z51 and while I love it, I'm considering trading up to exactly what I'd like in a Vette and then being done... we'll see how that goes.

Retired and disabled from the military this is my 4th corvette and I dont see anything that could be better then my 2017 vert. at 64 if I leave the corvette family it will be a caddy because I'm to old to get in and out of my corvette.

If my 2018 GS is my last Corvette, it will only be because of unforeseen health issues or GM goes so far off the current Corvette plan - creating a car that isn't usable for everyday tasks (i.e. no storage space) like going to the golf club or a weekend trip with the wife.
Otherwise, based upon the age of many on this forum, I expect to have a Corvette until age 70, which with my average of buying one every 4-5 years means 5 or 6 more.

I'm kind of hoping that I don't like the C8 because I'm always a generation behind and I am never truly satisfied with the Corvette I own because there is always something I like better out there! If all goes to plan I'm going to be ordering a new 2018 or 2019 next spring/summer and ideally I would love for that to be the one Corvette that I'm finally 100% satisfied with and keep forever. I'm 47 years old and my wife and I plan on retiring in only 5 years so hanging onto that C7 forever is in our best financial interest.

I turned 52 today I highly doubt this will be my last car frankly I think the future of car is going to change within a few years most cars will be electric and self driving and it may become costly to insure anything else so the future is uncertain. I don't usually keep cars long I owned my C6 for less then two years before buying the C7 GS. At 78 my mother bought her first Corvette a red convertible GS. Who knows what tomorrow brings?

Most likely either a ZR1 or a C8 awaits me. But certain my 2015 is not my last one.

At 58 years of age I doubt that this will be my last Corvette. I'm lucky enough to own both ends of the spectrum, a C1 and a C7, and when the C8 debuts I sure that I'll be looking to purchase one of those models as well, especially if the build quality dramatically improves like it did between the C6 and C7.
